My name is Jessica and I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I’m trying my hand at writing, but mostly I read. My favorite genres all fall under the SFF umbrella (heavy on the Fantasy/UF) and their YA counterparts, but if there is a book of a different color getting lots of buzz, I’ll read it too, just to be informed. I am particularly fond of anything fae and EVERYTHING Ilona Andrews.

Like Carmel, my love of things paranormal didn’t begin with Twilight, but with Anne Rice. I read Interview With The Vampire under my sheets with a flashlight at the tender age of thirteen because my father had forbidden me to. I wasn’t that impressed, but then I got my hands on a copy of The Vampire Lestat and I was hooked.
I discovered Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series my freshman year of college, broadening my interest in Fantasy beyond LOTR and shortly after that Karen Marie Moning ushered in my love of the more modern version of Urban Fantasy.
A few of my favorite authors are Ilona Andrews, Kelley Armstrong, Patricia Briggs, Charlaine Harris, Elizabeth Hunter, Faith Hunter, Robert Jordan, Sarah J. Maas, Juliet Marillier, Seanan McGuire, Victoria Schwab, Maggie Stiefvater, and Pierce Brown.
