Rabid Reads has been a labour of love for almost eight years now, but like all good things, it too must come to an end. Originally, I had planned on going out with a bang which unfortunately didn’t happen, so instead I’m going to sneak away quietly. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of my loyal followers for sticking with me through this journey—whether you’ve been here since day one, or just stumbled across my humble abode yesterday—I truly appreciate every single one of you. You’ve pushed me to grow this blog into what it is today with your enthusiastic comments, requests for book recommendations, and countless hours of chatting on social media. I’d also like to give a shout-out to all of the wonderful authors, tour companies, and advertisers that I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Your contributions have been invaluable from supplying content, to funding giveaways, to providing endless hours of reading material.

Last, but certainly not least, I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of my associate reviewers past and present. Without you, I sincerely doubt that I would have found the strength to carry-on for all of these long years. You’ve stepped in whenever real life demanded that I take a break, written so many awesome blog posts that I’ve lost count, and given me the greatest gift of all: your friendship. I wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors whether you decide to forge a new bloggy path of your own, join another review site, or take a step back and just become a reader again. Jessica has purchased her own domain name—keep your eyes peeled on bookfessional.com for new developments—Melanie can still be found at Hot Listens and will be posting at Books of my Heart as of May, and Lorna will be taking a bit of a breather, but can still be found on GoodReads.

I don’t plan on taking Rabid Reads offline anytime in the near future, so all of our old posts will still be accessible including each reviewer’s individual bio page in case you want to connect on social media. Well… I guess that’s it! This is Rabid Reads signing off. Goodbye my lovelies!

Sad days. This was the best blog to get a decent, comprehensive list of new releases every week and reviewed the books I love.

So sad that yet another cracking book blog is closing. I wish you all well and thanks so much for all the recommendations

  3. It’s sad but hopefully you are all off to good things. Your blog is one I have relied on reading since my days with Julie. I’ve enjoyed it so much – thank you! I’m thrilled to have Melanie with me now. And I’ll be reading Jessica and Lorna in their new venues. Anne – Books of My Heart

  4. Carmel, you were one of my first blogging friends. You helped me out whenever I had a blog related question and I thank you for that. Through the years I’ve enjoyed your posts, reviews and collaborating with you in the past. I’m sorry to see you go, but I wish you the very best in whatever comes next. You will be missed!

Bummer! Yours is the 2nd blog to fold this month for me. And the link to Jessica’s Bookfessional “isn’t able to be reached”. I’ve kinda been off of Twitter because of miserable politics, but I will check in from time to time and hope things are well with you at home. Best wishes in all you do.

Thanks a lot. And all the best wishes in whatever you are going to do. Sad to see you go. This is a shout from India so that you know who all are reading.

  7. I was just going to message you later today about this. I wanted a sound board about continuing mine or not and knew you were toying with the idea as well. I’m sad to see you leave the blog, but completely understand. I’m in the same boat. See you around social media perhaps?
