First of all, no one is more shocked than I am that I’ve made it this long without posting another randomness edition of Bookfessional (I don’t even remember when I posted the last one, but it was definitely some time last year).
Whatever. Let’s begin.
1. I can’t watch the new season of JESSICA JONES, and it’s driving me mad.
I’m kind of OCD about reading/watching things in order. And by “kind of” I mean completely intractable.
BUT.
I haven’t watched THE DEFENDERS (b/c the immortal IRON FIST is stoopid), so I can’t watch anything that comes after. My husband is watching it without me just to torture me—he doesn’t like superhero anything, but he’s watching JESSICA JONES—and all I can do is huff and scowl and look pitiful b/c controlled by my OCD.
What should I do? Suck it up this weekend and binge watch a show I’ve been avoiding since it was released on Netflix? Or throw caution (and OCD) out the window and watch JESSICA JONES without having watched the superhero show immediately presiding it?
2. Internet time sucks.
Instead of reading or binge watching shows I don’t really want to watch anyway, I’ve been losing time to the great internet time suck that is YouTube.
Ugh.
BBC1 and Graham Norton are the worst culprits, but Bad Lip Reading is up there too (and the closet to being relevant in a post about all things geek).
My brother-in-law introduced me to the channel back at Christmas with the NFL edition, which is freaking hilarious, and since then I’ve been making my way through the backlog.
Last night I found the GAME OF THRONES edition: MEDIEVAL LAND FUN-TIME WORLD
It’s the funniest thing I’ve seen in a really long time.
3. Pi Day was on Wednesday.
Which means most pizza places are running week-long specials on pizza pies.
Don’t miss out. Reading is hard work and requires sustenance. If someone else prepares said sustenance, all the better.
Aaaand that’s all I got this week. *crosses fingers* May next week bring many wonderful books into all our lives.

Yup, I have to watch things in order. I’m rewatching season one of Jessica Jones right now. Defenders isn’t that bad, plus there are a couple cute parts when the characters come together. Plus, it’s short.

I haven’t been a big fan of the superheroes on Netflix and only seen one season of Daredevil. I could see why you would want to watch them in order so it’s suck it up or skip ahead…lol. 🙂
