Carmel’s Week |
I had my worst week of 2016 thus far; now, that’s not to say that it was horrible because I still did manage to crack 10k a couple of times, although just barely. I felt under the weather on Saturday and Sunday, so I decided that some R&R was in order, we got a mixed bag of rain/hail/snow which caused me to bow out of my morning walks more often than not, and I spent a lot of my lunches/breaks at work on the phone trying to get something resolved instead of walking. AND only 1 yoga session. *sigh* Next week will be better!
By The Numbers:
Friday: 57 active minutes, 10,010 steps, 6.99 km
Saturday: 1,612 steps, 1.13 km
Sunday: 1,921 steps, 1.34 km
Monday: 34 active minutes, 7,120 steps, 4.97 km
Tuesday: 30 minutes of yoga, 77 active minutes, 10,025 steps, 7 km
Wednesday: 29 active minutes, 7,190 steps, 5.02 km
Thursday: 55 active minutes, 8,646 steps, 6.03 km
Melanie’s Week |
I’ve been pretty good week. I didn’t get in all of my Daily Burn workouts, but I got more than my normal step count. I’m eating pretty good. I’m weighing in the lowest I’ve weighed in over a year. I just have to stay on track to keep moving in that direction. I have to change my medication. My eye doctor told me that the meds were negatively affecting my eyes, so I’m not allowed to take it any more. I’ll have to go to the prescribing doctor to figure out what we are going to do. It is for nerve problems in my legs, so could really affect my workouts. I won’t see the other doctor until March, so I won’t know much until then. 🙁
By The Numbers:
Friday: 42 active minutes, 10,112 steps, 4.41 miles
Saturday: 33 active minutes, 8,155 steps, 3.52 miles
Sunday: 0 active minutes, 3,593 steps, 1.55 miles
Monday: 26 minutes of Daily Burn, 71 active minutes, 10,419 steps, 4.51 miles
Tuesday: 67 active minutes, 13,845 steps, 6.14 miles
Wednesday: 31 minutes of Daily Burn, 75 active minutes, 10,193 steps, 4.43 miles
Thursday: 44 active minutes, 10,076 steps, 4.48 miles
I’m sure you can do better next week Carmel!
And I do hope that the docs can figure out a change in medication that will allow you to continue your work outs without collateral damage!

It’s never easy to do what you want to do hen you aren’t feeling good. But good luck next week, Hope you are feeling better, Carmel.
Melanie, I hope they get the medication problem worked out. That’s not good. The side effects are sometimes worst than the problem we take the medications for. ugh.

Thanks Mary. Medications suck no matter how you look at them. They are expensive and there are always side effects. I sure we’ll figure something out.

Still looks like you did well even with the problems from the meds. I hope things get straightened out quickly for you.

I had a good week. I did the Weekday challenge and managed 71,134 steps for 5 days. I was happy with that, I tell you!

I did a 5k this morning but it’s been raining so much that I had to cut back on my walks overall.
I think you both did great! You got some activity in and that’s all that matters.
Thanks! Great job on your 5k.

I think I’ going to start putting the miles next to my steps too because 10,000 steps is a lot of miles so if I can at least do one mile a day I’ll feel like I’m accomplishing something.
I hope all turns out well Carmel concerning your medications!
Great job both of you (:

Thanks! I like including the miles because it does help me know how far I’ve gone. 10k sounds like a lot of steps, but 4.4 miles means more to me. I hope you have a great week.
