Welcome to #FitReaders hosted by Geeky Bloggers Book Blog and That’s What I’m Talking About.
Carmel’s Week |
This week was decent; I didn’t hit my 10k step goal on Friday, Tuesday or Thursday, but I was more active on Saturday, so it kinda balances out. Plus, I’ve had more errands to run lately which means extra driving, and less walking. Still haven’t managed to squeeze in that 3rd yoga routine yet; however 2 is better than none—I’ll take it! The lack of sunlight seems to be getting to me too because I’ve been passing out well before my usual bedtime. Well, that and all of the OT that I’ve been working probably has something to do with it as well.
By The Numbers:
Friday: 19 active minutes, 6,904 steps, 4.82 km
Saturday: 41 active minutes, 7,979 steps, 5.57 km
Sunday: 30 minutes of yoga, 30 active minutes, 4,498 steps, 3.14 km
Monday: 30 mins of yoga, 102 active minutes, 10,779 steps, 7.52 km
Tuesday: 51 active minutes, 9,139 steps, 6.38 km
Wednesday: 67 active minutes, 11,310 steps, 7.89 km
Thursday: 4,717 steps, 3.29 km
Melanie’s Week |
This week was much better week. I finally got my FitBit charger in the mail on Sunday evening (forgot to check the mail on Saturday, *sigh*). I had Monday off, but spent the majority of the day doing errands and in a car, so not much exercising. It wasn’t quite as bad at work, so I was able to get my walk in mostly. I was also able to get my Daily Burn workouts after work, so that’s a plus. I’ll take it.
By The Numbers:
no tracking because no charger
Monday: 0 active minutes, 3,925 steps, 1.71 miles
Tuesday: 27 minutes of Daily Burn, 87 active minutes, 8,976 steps, 3.92 miles
Wednesday: 20 minutes of Daily Burn, 76 active minutes, 10,640 steps, 4.59 miles
Thursday: 26 minutes of Daily Burn, 29 active minutes, 6,584 steps, 2.93 miles
Looks like you are doing well! 2 yoga routines? WIN!

I got a Fitbit recently and am working on making the most of it. It is fun and really does get me moving once i notice how little I am moving around. I should definitely get on board with FitReaders. Keep it up. Thanks for sharing.
I love my FitBit. Come join us. It’s a lot of fun.

Oooh sounds like you might be Vitamin D deficient Carmel. I got tested last spring and am so deficient that I’m on a long-term regimen of a weekly megadose. But I definitely notice the difference since adding it, I’m not tired all the time like I used to be.
Question guys… I love the idea of Fit Readers but I mostly see posts about steps taken and it seems like everyone uses a device. Are there any participants that focus on other fitness types? I’m really struggling with needing an accountability and encouragement buddy for my pilates. :p
Yes. Most of us do steps, but you can join with anything. Some do yoga, Jen does Body Flow. Blodeuedd rides a bike, does zumba, and cross country skis. Once spring comes back, I’ll be riding my horses and counting that as exercise. It’s all about encouraging each other to do something, anything.

You both had good weeks!!! I had a head cold this week and was babysitting my nieces, so didn’t make it to the gym, but next week should be back to normal. I really need to get back to yoga, though! Have a great week!!!
That was me last week. I got almost nothing done. You’ll get back to it next week. A down week every so often is good for the body and soul. At least it is for me. I hope you have a great week too. 🙂

You can do it!! Glad you both had good weeks – not the ones you wanted, but still good!
