Carmel’s Week |
I was more active on the weekend than I usually am, and I upped my yoga to 2 sessions this week, so I am very happy with both of those accomplishments. The cold didn’t discourage me from getting my steps in on Monday and Tuesday, but by Wednesday I was sick of freezing my touchie; luckily my office is a converted warehouse which means lots of room to roam indoors, and I took full advantage of that on my breaks. It’s currently crunch time at work, so there’s tons of OT up for offer, and I’m trying to take advantage of that as much as possible including this upcoming Saturday. Hopefully it doesn’t impact my activity levels too much.
By The Numbers:
Friday: 71 active minutes, 8.77 km, 12,559 steps
Saturday: 2.47 km, 3,532 steps
Sunday: 35 active minutes, 3.33 km, 4,777 steps
Monday: 30 minutes of yoga, 98 active minutes, 7.96 km, 11,399 steps
Tuesday: 66 active minutes, 7.68 km, 11,007 steps
Wednesday: 30 minutes of yoga, 100 active minutes, 7.99 km, 11,443 steps
Thursday: 62 active minutes, 7.03 km, 10,076 steps
Melanie’s Week |
This wasn’t a good week for me. It started on the weekend. I didn’t want to do anything. I didn’t read, I didn’t exercise. I didn’t do anything that wasn’t absolutely necessary for me to live through the weekend. Then on Monday, I realized I lost the charger for my FitBit. I had some bad days at work. I normally walk on my lunch breaks and I had to work through several of my lunch breaks. I had some bad days at work, which made me not want to workout when I got home. So yeah, my week for FitReaders was not a good one. I’m going into next week with the attitude that it will be better. My new charger should be in soon. I plan to get back into walking on my lunches. And I’m going to get back to doing my Daily Burn (though on Wednesday, I’m going to a movie after work with several of my co-workers. We are seeing The Revenant).
By The Numbers:
Not worth mentioning this week.
I did get two Daily Burn workouts in this week.
Good job Carmel! And Melanie, sometimes we do have those weeks… Wednesday & Thursday have been bed days for me (except for working night shift) because I have a cold… so no motivation for anything. I’m sure next week will be better.

I’m not going to let it get me down. Next week is a new week. I will start over. Hopefully my charger will arrive today and I’ll have my Fitbit back. I miss it.

You’re rockin’ it, Carmel! Congrats on having a good week. 🙂
Melanie, don’t let the setback mess with your head. You’ll get back on track, I’m sure!
I’ve managed to get my exercise in every day this week so far and even managed over 10000 steps a couple of those days. Having a Fitbit definitely motivates me to move. 😀
The lack of my Fitbit is making me crazy. I’ve had it for over two years now. It does help to motivate me to take more steps.

That is still awesome 🙂
Next week is a new week. It will be better. 🙂

Well… Yea for Carmel!! Sounds like you had a great week and that is great about your office space. And Melanie *hugs* I hope that this week is better. I’m glad you checked in and shared your struggles. We all have them!!
Carmel – you had a great week! I’ve been known to just go to the mall sometimes just to get those steps in, so wondering around your office is perfect…especially when it’s too cold to be outdoors!
Melanie – we all have bad weeks…and that’s the beauty of this group – to share and get virtual hugs from everyone and know that hopefully next week will be better!!! I love that my fitbit definitely motivates me to get those steps in, though, somedays I could totally care less! And thats OK! I hope your new charger arrives soon and that you are back to feeling like moving around 🙂
I think this is so awesome. I do want to join up and start doing it, but I have an infected tooth that needs to be pulled this week and once I heal from that then I can start working out again. I can’t wait. Hope this week goes great for you both!!!
The key is to get back on the horse. As a rider, I’m sure you know this already, but it helps to be reminded sometimes. I hope the news at work wasn’t too bad. This week will be better for you, I can feel it!
