Top 10 of 2015

Merry Christmas!! Another year has come and gone which means that it’s time to participate in Two Chicks On Books, Fiktshun, Magical Urban Fantasy Reads and Tales of a Ravenous Reader annual TOP 10 OF 2015 week long meme. Not only do I love lists but these posts are easy to put together and schedule during the holidays so that I can spend time with my family. Enjoy!

*Click on book cover to visit Amazon / GoodReads for more info.

Staked 10. Staked by Kevin Hearne

I’ve really enjoyed this series to date, especially with Luke Daniels as the narratior. However, the 7th book wasn’t quite up to snuff which is why STAKED came in at #10. It’s do or die time for Kevin Hearne!
Windburn 09. Windburn by Shannon Mayer

It seems crazy to me that I only discovered this author in 2015, and I’ve already inhaled all of her RYLEE ADAMSON novels, and most of her ELEMENTALS as well. Not only that, but Mayer made my year end top 10 to boot!
Bitter Bite 08. Bitter Bite by Jennifer Estep

Estep is a staple here at Rabid Reads, and as much as I like her BIGTIME, MYTHOS ACADEMY and BLACK BLADE titles; Gin Blanco will always take priority on my to-be-read pile. ELEMENTAL ASSASSIN FOREVER!!!
Cover Coming Soon 07. Betrayals by Kelley Armstrong

I didn’t hit it off with OMENS, but VISIONS was a roaring success, so this follow-up really could go either way. I’m personally hoping that it follows the latter’s lead though. We shall see!
Cover Coming Soon 06. Into the Fire by Jeaniene Frost

I was quite broken up about there only being 3 NIGHT PRINCE installments; imagine my delight when Frost announced that she simply couldn’t wrap-up the story to her satisfaction without at least one more.
Fire Touched 05. Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs

I signed-up to host a stop on the MERCY THOMPSON re-read in early 2016, and I’m really hoping that I get picked. Regardless, I’ll be checking this one out for shizzle one way or another.
Cover Coming Soon 04. Magic Binds by Ilona Andrews

I’m positive that I won’t be the only blogger featuring this book today, but that’s because anyone who is has GREAT taste. If you haven’t discovered Kate & Curran for yourself yet, you are seriously missing out!
Forevermore 03. Forevermore by Kristen Callihan

This has got to me one of my all time favourite Paranormal Romance series. Each story is so different, and yet one thing has remained consistent throughout, and that’s Callihan’s unbeatable writing style.
Cover Coming Soon 02. Masquerade by Rachel Vincent

There was tons of mystery surrounding the lead up to MENAGERIE that I had no idea what to expect. Well, as it turns out, I absolutely loved it, and was worried that I’d have to wait ages for the next novel. Nope! *phew*
Marked in Flesh 01. Marked in Flesh by Anne Bishop

The delay between volumes is brutal, so I am super pumped that MARKED IN FLESH is almost here. Of course, I’ll probably read it all in one sitting, and end up right back where I started, but who cares. GIMME!

What titles are on your MUST-READ list for 2016?

  1. Kathy Martin

One, four, five, six and seven are on my list too. I have only read the first couple of Kevin Hearne’s series but enjoyed them before losing my copies to my brother. I wasn’t excited about Menagerie and still haven’t read it despite my enjoyment of Vincent’s other books. The rest of the authors are new to me. I hope each of the book lives up to your high expectations.

  2. So many great picks! Forevermore is on my list as well! I’m so bummed that this will be the last book in that series. I really need to give that series by Kelley Armstrong a shot. I loved Women of the Otherworld, but have been avoiding Omens because the whole fated love triangle thing doesn’t interest me.
Samantha recently posted…Film Friday: A Muppets Family Christmas

  3. Damaris

    Anne Bishop Marked in Flesh
    Patricia Briggs Fire Touched
    Karen Chance Ride the Storm
    Karen Moning Feverborn
    Joanna Wylde Reapers Fire
    Aleatha Romig Cunning

  4. I have heard of most of those authors and only read a couple of them. I just this year started the Kate Daniels series…I know..that is horrid…lol. 🙂 But I liked book one so look forward to more of them. 🙂

  5. Jennifer from The Book Nympho

Marked in Flesh by Anne Bishop
    Bitter Bite by Jennifer Estep
    Feverborn by Karen Marie Moning
    Magic Binds by Ilona Andrews
Into the Fire by Jeaniene Frost
    Fire Touched by Patricia Briggs
Wicked Sexy Liar by Christina Lauren
    Cream by Alice Clayton
Bright Blaze of Magic by Jennifer Estep
Untitled (The Arcana Chronicles #4) by Kresley Cole
    Forevermore by Kristen Callihan

  6. Oooh great list! 2016 looks like it’s going to be an awesome reading year! Thanks so much for taking part in the Top 10 of 2015! I hope to see you next year for the Top 10 of 2016!

I did NOT know that there would be another NIGHT PRINCE novel! Ah!

AND YES, I am excited for Magic Binds. That is my favorite series, ever! 🙂

  8. So many great reads there are coming out this year especially in Uf and PNR. I am particularly excited for Vlad and Leila’s last book —I think I love them more than Bones and Cat. Probably because I connect more with the characters and I love how emotional these books are especially the last one. And yeah I am looking forward to Forevermore. Such a fantastic series to read especially with the historical setting.
