Valentine’s Day is fast approaching, and I figured that as fellow book addicts you’d appreciate an Amazon.com gift certificate giveaway a lot more than flowers or chocolates. Am I right? Also, it’s been a couple of months since Rabid Reads’ last blog sponsored contest, and ’tis the season for love, so I saw the Romance is in the Air Giveaway Hop hosted by I Am A Reader as the perfect opportunity to show my thanks for all of your lovely comments, tweets, likes, etc. BIG HUGS, and good luck!! 🙂

    Oh that’s a rough question. I’d probably say Amazon GC because I have so much chocolate right now that I can’t eat it before the expiration date hits (I know, such a first world problem).

    AZ giftcards, all the way LOL I can buy my own flowers & chocolate. I prefer him surprising me with something yummy to eat & drink.
    A book buy would be the sprinkles on my cupcake =)

    I do love chocolate, but I think I prefer an Amazon giftcard. That’s where I buy all of my books, so it is kind of the gift that keeps on giving. Whereas, when chocolate is eaten – it’s gone. Forever and ever.

    While they are all wonderful in their way, Amazon gift cards lead to the longest enjoyment, as they (after turning them into books, of course) can be consumed over and over.

    Okay, will try again…not sure if I commented or not as the site crashed when I tried to hit submit… I don’t like cut flowers, so its a toss up between chocolate and amazon. probably depends on my level of chocolate craving that day.

    I’d have to say the Amazon gift card. Because for me that equal a BOOK SHOPPING SPREE! Yes, Amazon sells more than books, but when someone said you could buy something other than books, I looked at them and was like why would I do that?! I mean seriously, if I have an Amazon gift card and decide I want to buy a movie, I pay on my credit card! LOL! A gift card for somewhere that sells books is a bookish gift card for me!

    Though flowers and chocolates are nice too! But I’m picky with chocolate! No mixed boxes for me! My future bf just needs to know to buy that Reese’s peanut butter cup box of chocolates if he’s buying those! LOL!

    Depends on the giver. If it’s a relative or someone I don’t really know (like a giveaway host), then Amazon GCs. I can buy all the books I want that way. Someone else, I prefer flowers over chocolate usually. I’m allergic to chocolate, but it’s so tasty that I cave and eat it anyway. Better to not tempt me 🙂

    Flowers die and I only like certain chocolates, so I destroy half the box looking for the centers I’ll eat. Give me an Amazon gift card any day!

    Give me chocolate or Amazon gift cards any day Carmel! I’m not a big fan of flowers; while pretty, they die too fast for me to really appreciate them. Chocolate goes away pretty quickly too when in close proximity to me, but I enjoy it so much more than flowers;-)

    I’m allergic to flowers, and I can’t eat most chocolate due to lactose intolerance and gluten, so gift cards are awesome! I was wondering, not in a rude or ungrateful way, how you came to decide on $48 as the prize. I never seen an amount like that before. Happy Valentine’s day and thank you! 🙂
