Paranormal Romance
|

Jason Schuyler is one of Anita Blake’s best friends and favorite werewolves, with benefits. J.J. is his lady love, an old flame from childhood who dances at one of the top ballet companies in New York. She’s accomplished, beautiful, and she’s crazy about him, too. Neither of them wants to be monogamous, so what could go wrong?
J.J. is enthusiastically bisexual, with an emphasis on the female side of things. She plans to keep sleeping with women, because Jason can’t meet that need, just like she can’t meet Jason’s need for rough sex and bondage. J.J. doesn’t understand why Jason isn’t content to go elsewhere for a need she can’t fulfil, so Jason asks Anita to help him explain.
Anita is having her own relationship growing pains with her only female lover ever, Jade. Jason suggests that J.J. might be able to help Anita with her girl problem, while she helps him with his kinky explanations. Happy new release Tuesday!
THE STAG LORD found a new home with me thanks to you :). I really want to click on CITY OF ETERNAL NIGHT too, but I have to read book 1 and it’s sitting on my nightstand calling to me….hmmm, maybe I’ll read it next 🙂

Excellent! I didn’t like the first installment as much, so if that happens to you too, push through cuz it gets better.
I really enjoyed Foresworn, but I was completely in the dark about the other YA releases out this week! Fail. I read the first book in the Otherworld series by Skylar Dorset, so I’ll have to give this second installment a try. *wanders off to Amazon* Thanks Carmel!
Guess you came down with a case of Sisters of Fate tunnel vision. 😀
I can’t even keep up anymore! *snickers* I’ve been one-clicking like crazy and at this point I have no clue when I will read all of these books. And if all my problems were like this…I’d be all set! *wink*

It’s hard not to fall victim to that bright yellow button, especially this time of year with all of the sales going on.
Oh I’m so glad that I’m not as excited about the last two release days it means I’m not burying myself any further. Though I’m curious about that Mammoth SF by Women book I’ll have to spy the author list in there and check for some reviews.

I’m grabbing Darkness Falls, but other than that, I’m on a book buying ban for the rest of December.
Woah! How did I not know about The Mammoth Book of SF Stories by Women? Might have to have that. I am resisting the one-click only because I’ve dropped a ridiculous amount of money on my kids and husband for Christmas and I really ought to reign myself in until after the holiday since I’m under a review stack. lol

That sucker is 500+ pages, so you don’t really need any other books. It should keep you busy for a good long while.
I’ve read a couple and loved em. Working my way through another stack. So many good books today!

It’s such a good feeling when you get to the bottom of a stack, but it’s short-lived cuz there’s always another one!
Visions of Darkness looks good to me,but I am going to restrain myself. Just have bought too many lately. It would probably take me 3 years of non-stop reading to clean out my tbr pile. Not complaining though!

My NetGalley account is getting a little out of control, we need to read more & request less. LOL!
Not much to capture my attention. However I am curious about the Blake and Painter books and I want to read the Goodman book. The Vault was not good.

Three is still a decent number if you ask me! Sorry to hear that The Vault fell short; I’ll stay away from that one.
Seriously? The Anita Blake series is still going? 23 books? I think the last one I read was 8 or 9. It just got too weird and gross. I can’t imagine what Laurell has done for another 14 books!

I gave up thereabouts too I think. I still have two installments on my shelf that I just can’t bring myself to read.
I pre-ordered Jason more than a month ago and it’s being shipped! I should have it in my hands tomorrow. woohoo!

Wow! I didn’t realize that anyone was still reading that series. 😉
Only thing this week is City of Eternal Night…and I already have that, wheee!

In that case, I do believe that you have everything under control!
Oh, what a plentiful batch! Good timing too, I’m in need of some UF galore right now, and I see some re-he-he-eally smexy looking options 😀

There’s no shortage of Urban Fantasy titles this week, so you’re in luck! Plenty of ’em are on sale too which is even better.
Well, I feel like I can let out a sigh of relief *sigh* that this week is not doing me in, lol! I definitely want to checkout the Stag Lord after your review, though 😀 Oh, and I read The Boy With the Hidden Name which was fun, dizzying, in a madcap sort of way.
Thanks for sharing!

Consider this the calm before the storm! Haha No, but seriously, December is looking pretty quiet new release wise. *phew!*
I see Jason and I miss the good days with Anita Blake. But I know this book is not going to be like the old books. It’s not event the sex, it’s the lack of plot that gets me.

I miss the old Hamilton too, but alas those days are long gone, now it’s all about sex and 0 story.
I didn’t know there was a new book in the Anita Blake series… I used to like this series, a lot… but last books were simply crap. I’m not sure if I’ll read this one or not. 🙁

I’m kinda shocked that you are even considering it, especially with your recent beef with all things PNR. I don’t think this series can be called UF anymore…
Why did I think we were slowing down on new releases? LOL
Last week I could have sworn I thought that there weren’t many new releases coming out since it was the end of the year…LOOKS LIKE I WAS WRONG!

Yeeeeaaah, sorry to be the bearer of bad news? My list is super short on the 23rd & 30th if that helps.
Lots of great books to add to my list, thanks for feeding my book addiction Carmel! I’m on track with a few of these series so I don’t have to wait to get to them 🙂

Glad to hear that you’re finally getting some reading in. Are you planning to tackle Keri Lake’s new book? I think you’re quoted in the first pages.
Definitely but I have to check and see if I read book 2, I think I did but who knows! It’s such an honor when an author adds a quote of yours in his/her book, it was a great feeling when Keri emailed me about that. 😛

You got an e-mail?? No fair! I just opened the book, and there I was. LOL! Not that I mind.
Another awesome week of New Releases!! Thanks Carmel!!

That it is! Don’t spend all of your money in one place. 😉
Wow, so many books released this week, but none of them look particularly good to me. I guess that’s good for the wallet at least. 🙂
