The Book Nympho and Hot Listens are bringing their audiobook challenge back for a third year, and seeing how I KILLED my goals in 2014, I’ve decided to participate again. I didn’t quite make it to 50 (still holding strong at 46), so I’m keeping my target level the same, and who knows maybe I’ll end up surprising myself. Here are the deets.

Reading Challenge Details:

  • Runs January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2015. You can join at anytime.
  • The goal is to find a new love for audios or to outdo yourself by listening to more audios in 2015 than you did in 2014.
  • Books must be in audio format (CD, MP3, etc.)
  • ANY genres count.
  • Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are allowed.
  • You do not have to be a book blogger to participate; you can track your progress on Goodreads, Shelfari, Booklikes, Facebook, LibraryThing, etc. We’ve created a Goodreads Group for the challenge, feel free to join.
  • If you’re a blogger grab the button and do a quick post about the challenge to help spread the word. If you’re not a blogger you can help by posting on Facebook or Tweeting about the challenge.

Levels:

  • Newbie (I’ll give it a try) 1-5
  • Weekend Warrior (I’m getting the hang of this) 5-10
  • Stenographer (can listen while multi-tasking) 10-15
  • Socially Awkward (Don’t talk to me) 15-20
  • Binge Listener (Why read when someone can do it for you) 20-30
  • My Precious (I had my earbuds surgically implanted) 30-50
  • Marathoner (Look Ma no hands) 50+

I’ll be tracking my progress on GoodReads, so feel free to stalk my audio-2015 shelf if you want to know what I’m listening to. Some of the titles that I plan on checking-out this year include:

    1. Been waiting for this one to come out. I think it will be my last challenge I sign up for…I think..lol. I probably listened to around 25-30 last year and I was just getting into audios so I am pretty sure in 2015 I will be knocking them out and didn’t know about this challenge till about half the year was over. 🙂 Going to go sign up now!

You have some good ones on your list for the coming year! 🙂

      • Other than my GoodReads challenge, this is the only one I’ll be participating in in 2015. Tracking them is such a pain, but at this one doesn’t require me to make any extra effort. I already listen to tons of audios.

    2. We did almost the same this year. I’m going for Marathoner next year… we’ll see how that goes.
Sorry I’ve been MIA, but I was very sick. Next week I’ll be off, so I won’t be around much. I hope to be able to catch up on all the post I have missed before the year ends.
      Good luck on your challenge!

      • Aaww, sorry to hear that you’ve been under the weather. I have too, it really sucks. Hopefully you’re back to 100% for your trip to Paris. I’ll see ya when I see ya!
