It’s hard to believe that there are only two months left before we ring in a brand new year, however that fact made this week’s question a piece of cake because my options were fairly limited which is a good thing because we all know how us book bloggers can go on-and-on about upcoming titles without strict guidelines. Hehe!
The first novel that jumped out at me was Sierra Dean’s A SECRET TO DIE FOR, now granted I read this one back in August because I could not WAIT to inhale the finale of her SECRET MCQUEEN series, but it still counts because it officially hits shelves on December 16th. Next in line would have to be Jennifer Estep’s November 25th release, BLACK WIDOW, followed closely by THE STAG LORD by Darby Kaye (Karchut) who happens to be one of the very first authors I really connected with when I started blogging. This book will be her Urban Fantasy debut, and I have high hopes that it’ll be just as good as her Young Adult. December 2ndβmark your calendars!
Honorable mention also goes to Kristen Painter’s CITY OF ETERNAL NIGHT, DARKNESS FALLS by Keri Arthur, and Keri Lake’s SOUL ENSLAVED. Looking at those dates, I’m thinking that maybe I should call in sick on December 2nd. π Now, that wasn’t so bad, was it? Only 6.

I think you did well keeping to only 6, Carmel! π And yeah, I do think you’re coming down with something…it’ll hit the night of Dec. 1.
When I worked more regularly, I always knew what books were coming and this question would have been easy for me. Now though, unless it’s an author I follow closely, I have no idea. I’m lucky bloggers like you provide me with New Release posts weekly. *ha* So, (can you tell where this is going?) I don’t know too many releases that I’m looking forward to before the year ends. But here are two. Coming For You by JA Huss releases this month…it’s the final book in her Dirty, Dark, and Deadly trilogy. AND Captivated by You from Sylvia Day releases this month as well. As for December…I’m clueless. π
Bookworm Brandee recently posted…**OctobeRec Fest Late Review ~ Consequences ~ Aleatha Romig**
I think you’re the exception to the rule, Brandee, most bloggers track upcoming new releases rather religiously, but it’s good to know that my new releases posts are actually helpful to some. Sylvia Day’s CROSSFIRE series is actually one of my guilty pleasures; I reviewed the first one on the blog, but the other installments have been just for me.
That is tough.
Revenant by Larissa Ione
The King by Tiffany Reisz
Black Widow by Jennifer Estep
Beyond Possession by Kit Rocha
Broken Dolls by Kitty Thomas
Gifted by Kelley Armstrong (twins POV, couldn’t leave that one out)
Melanie Simmons recently posted…Beyond Shame Audiobook by Kit Rocha (review)
I completely forgot about the twins’ novella! I thought about the longer one that releases in January, but it doesn’t quality for this Q. I saw Armstrong post an update about Gifted on FB, but totally forgot to add it to my wishlist, thanks for the reminder! I need to get caught-up on Ione’s series… I’m going IAD first though, just for you!
Hmmmm, Endsinger by Jay Kristoff since I have been waiting for the final book to come out before reading book 2 after being warned about an awful lciffhanger. This Shattered World by Amie Kauffman & Meagan Spooner, although I’ll be getting that one in Jan since I’m getting a signed copy…
What else, what else… oh yeah, Wicked the new paranormal by Jennifer L Armentrout, oh and Foresworn by Rinda Elliott, the final book in her paranormal/norse trilogy!
Pili recently posted…Waiting On Wednesday #67!!
For some reason I was thinking that Endsinger came out last Tuesday, so please excuse my clueless comment on your WOW post, I just checked the date. LOL Your list is as long as mine!
I’m kinda shocked right now, because I’m realizing I don’t have any! That’s new – but I have a bunch for 2015. Jennifer Estep would be on the list but I’ve only read the first 2 books S far.
Berls recently posted…A Month of Giving Thanks Day 6
Wow! Consider yourself lucky then because now you have two months to tackle your someday TBR pile.
Tainted Blood is technically out but I don’t have it yet so it counts.

Sure, I’ll allow it. π
I can’t believe the year’s almost over. I’m just trying to read the books I’ve saved to my To-Read list on Goodreads! I’m always so far behind.

Soul Enslaved’s pub date keeps getting pushed back, so I’m really hopping that we get it before the end of the year. I think Lake is now aiming for December 5th.
Vision in silver and Deceptions are my most wanted books coming up π
julie recently posted…What I am watching lately
Those come out in 2015 though, so you are cheating, but yes, they are on my list as well for the new year.
Believe it or not I haven’t even looked yet, crazy huh? I usually slow my book buying this time of year so that my family can get me something and so that I have more money for the holidays so I try not to pay attention too much to what comes out so I am not tempted to do that one click button.
kindlemom1 recently posted…Giveaway: The Girl In Between by Laekan Zea Kemp (2 Winners!)
That makes sense. No one ever gets me books for Xmas even though there are always a few on my list, so I just stopped asking and buy them myself. Screw it! LOL
Only 5 books, this makes me sad *sigh*

Izy recently posted…Review: Rocky Mountain Miracle by Christine Feehan
That’s only one less than me! You’ve got a nice mix of titles there, and I’m sure that a few extras might get added to your list along the way.
Thanks and yeah I will probably get a few extras since I can be a impulsive reader/buyer π
Izy recently posted…Short Review: Tempted by midnight by Lara Adrian
Without a doubt Symbiont by Mira Grant, second installment in the Parasitology series. No contest whatsoever. I preordered months ago.
Leila recently posted…That’s What HE Said Thursday #9
Cool! I came across that one when I put my November new releases posts together. Soon it will be yours!
BLACK WIDOW!!!! YES! I love that series so much. I’m so impressed that she’s managed to make 12 (is that what number we’re on?) books featuring the same characters and similar story arcs (people trying to kill Gin) so very interesting each and every time. She hasn’t let me down yet, and I’m not even close to tiring of Gin and company.
Yup, we’re now up to 12, and I’ve already read it. Let me just say that it was amazing! It surpassed her last couple of installments in that series, and she’s been contracted to write #13, so it’s not over yet.
I’m going to cheat a little and pick recent releases that I still need/want to read but haven’t gotten to yet.
I’ll give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson (I’m afraid I’ll cry so I’ve been putting it off lol), Glory O’Briens’s History if the Future by A.S. King, Mortal Heart by Robin LaFevers.
You’re not the only one cheating on this week’s question, so no worries there! Thanks for sharing. π
I stopped keeping close track, I’m such a bad fangirl, but now that you mentioned it, I am looking forward to Soul Enslaved, KPainter’s next book and more JEstep even if I’m still in the process of catching up.
Braine Talk Supe recently posted…Suped Up: The Morbid & Sultry Tales of Genevieve Clare by J.B Hartnett + Giveaway
I’m surprised, I thought you were more on the ball than that, Braine. At least I was able to add a few to your list. Hehe!
My list:)
The King by Tiffany Reisz
Night Shift by Nalini Singh and Ilona Andrews
Captivated by You by Silvia Day
Revanant by Larissa Ione
The Darkest Touch by Gena Showalter
Seeds of Iniquity by J.A Redmersky
Lupdilup recently posted…Beyond Shame Audiobook by Kit Rocha (review)
I’m assuming that all of those titles will be available in audio, and if that’s the case, I didn’t realize that the Night Shift anthology was. I might listen to that one instead!
I’m looking forward to
Abracadaver–Laura Resnick
Universal Alien–Gini Koch
Light My Fire–GA Aiken
I’m not familiar with any of those, but I’m sure they’ll be amazing. Ooh, wait, that’s a lie, I think I’ve Aiken’s book around the blogosphere.
Strayed by Amber Lynn Natusch and Four Days by Dannika Dark.
That was easy for me!
Lorna recently posted…Review: The Rest Falls Away by Colleen Gleason
I’m not surprised by your picks, Lorna, because I manage your wishlist after all. LOL!
Hmmm there isn’t too much I am looking forward to between now and the end of the year. The big one for me was Prince Lestat by Anne Rice which I am finishing today. So good. THe only other one is This Shattered World.
Heidi recently posted…Review: Mortal Heart(His Fair Assassin #3) by Robin LeFevers
I keep forgetting that Rice has a new vampire book out, it’s been SO long! I was tempted to read her werewolf series, but reviews weren’t very good, so I passed.
I really don’t have many left on my list for this year. I think Mira Grant’s Symbiont is the only one that I absolutely have to read.
Cat recently posted…Review: The Bloodbound by Erin Lindsey
Well, one is better than none!
Almost everything I’ve been anticipating has come out already. I’ve wrapped up some great series, The Darkest Minds series by Alexandra Bracken, The Mara Dyer series by Michelle Hodkin and the third book in Maggie Stiefvater’s The Raven Cycle.
The rest are all 2015 releases.
I do have a lot of TBR for the rest of the year, though!
Kristi recently posted…Review: The Retribution of Mara Dyer
I enjoy the occasional lull in must-read new releases, because you’re not the only one who needs to catch-up on their TBR!
I’m excited for Breaking the Rules by Katie McGarry, Mai Tai’d Up by Alice Clayton, Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay and…that’s all I can think of right now.

When does Visions of Silver come out?
Joy (Joyousreads) recently posted…Throwback Thursday [#9]: Pulp by Charles Bukowski
Euuh, March I think? I’m a planner, so I try to stay on top of new releases, so I’ll know when there’s a lull in my reviewing schedule.
I’m excited about Alice Claytons latest and Breaking The Rules since it means more Noah and Echo! LOL
I’m terrible at keeping track of books to come but I figure I really need to start getting better at it! SO MANY BOOKS!
You still managed to come up with a couple of titles, so you didn’t do too badly. π
My list is small
Revenant by Larissa Ione
The darkest touch by Gena showalter
But in April of next year Mate Bond (Shifters Unbound) by Jennifer Ashley comes out. lol

Black Widow!!! I’m trying to catch up with the series before that one is released. Should be able to, I think I’m just two books behind π
I was going to say, how far behind are you, but 2 installments in totally do-able. GO!
Hmm, end of the year is usually lighter for me, it’s my time to catch up. So it’s hard for me to think of anything that I’m really anticipating, though I’m looking forward to Jay Kristoff’s Endsinger, the third book of the Lotus War series coming out at the end of the month.

Hm, you know what … I can’t even think of any that I’m excited for. The last of the books I was counting down for this year came out last week and I already read them. OH, that’s a lie! I just remembered Mortal Heart came out on Tuesday and I am SO looking forward to reading it.

First of all: HOW IS IT ALREADY NOVEMBER?!?! The year has gone by so incredibly fast! And secondly, I am highly anticipating both The Walled City by Ryan Graudin and A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray. π Great discussion question! π

Nice!! I really like that series in audio, but I just don’t have the patience to wait until release day, so I always request the ARCs, and listen to ’em later.
I’m kind of a weird one I think or maybe some of it has to do with the blog and getting ones early but I don’t really have a most anticipated list going. I get too caught up in what I’m reading now and time flies before I can “want” anything I guess and then there it is releasing. lol
anna (herding cats & burning soup) recently posted…Randomly Random–Want to actually SEE those fan pages you LIKED on Facebook?
Fair enough! To be honest, I’ve already read 3 out of my 6 picks, so I cheated a bit by saying that I was ‘anticipating’ them.
Actually one of the books that I was waiting for most came out earlier this week, Mortal Heart and I already bought it. Aside from that I only have one book that I’m collecting that I need: Gathering Darkness by Morgan Rhodes. All the other books I want come out next year. I’m trying to keep my book shopping down right now lol.

One of my most anticipated books for 2014 (what’s left of it) is This Shattered World, and I actually got an e-ARC for that one last week, so I’m all set.
I hope you’re having a fantastic Friday, Carmel π
Lexxie recently posted…Feature and Follow #90 – What Would you do for that ARC?
Aaah, the advantages of being a book blogger! Thanks, Lexxie, I slept in today which I rarely do. Was nice! Have a fab weekend!
Well, mine are historical romances, not PNR or UF sadly, but I’m waiting on a Sarah MacLean book and a Tessa Dare book. Two of my favorite authors too. π
Amanda recently posted…Vengeance Born by Kylie Griffin {Taraβs Review}
That’s fine, I don’t discriminate against new releases. Any excuse to buy new books in a-ok with me!
Rival by Stephen King is one, but mainly I am looking to catch up with some of the great recently released books that I’ve not had a chance to read yet π
Lisa recently posted…What the ….?? Cliffhangers.
Stephen King is too creepy for me, but he has a huge following, so to each their own. I actually enjoy getting to pick books from my someday pile, plus it frees up space for new ones. LOL
Oh boy what a questions:
Night Shift by Nalini Singh and Ilona Andrews
The Darkest Touch by Gena Showalter
Light My Fire by GA Aiken
A Cursed Bloodline by Cecy Robson – Though I did get an ARC and have read it, love it, still it does not come out until 11/18.
Few only 4 left I’m looking forward to in 2014, so still time to work on the TBR. ^_^
Angela recently posted…Review: Burn for Me (Hidden Legacy #1) by Ilona Andrews
Four is totally do-able! I really want to give Robson’s Weird Girl a try, and Gena Showalter. Urgh! It’s so frustrating being unable to read ’em all.
I haven’t read any of those! I’m looking forward to Princess of Thorns By Staceey Jay & Anomaly By Tonya Kuper. The Griever’s Mark By Katharine Hurley &
The Unhappening of Genesis Lee By Shallee McArthur, I’ve already read, but they were really good, so I’m even more excited for them! π

Oh gosh I am so up to my neck with current ARCS I wasn’t even thinking about new books coming out in the next two months heh, but those look like really great picks
Hehe! Went a little request happy there did ya? Well, good luck with that. π
This is a surprisingly tough question! Sometimes it seems like all my auto-buy authors release in the spring, usually within about five weeks of each other. I’m really anticipating This Shattered World by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, a companion novel to This Shattered World (which I’m listening to right now). Only about 1/3 of the way through and I already know I’m on board for whatever this duo writes!
Danya recently posted…Review: Otherworld Nights by Kelley Armstrong

It’s ridiculous that 2014 is just about over. I was going over my top ten reads for 2014 and it is HARD.
I don’t think I have too many highly anticipated reads left:
This Shattered World
Wicked (JLA)
I’m in preparation for 2015 now! π
I’ll be compiling my top 10 lists for 2014 soon enough. It’s always such a challenge to narrow ’em down!
I can’t believe the year is almost over!

Happy reading!
