Celtic Wet Dreams with Dani Harper

Posted August 1, 2013 by Carmel in Giveaways, Stomp VS Romp / 36 Comments

It’s not often that I get to welcome a Canadian author to the blog and an even rarer occurrence to find one who writes about werewolves! You probably know Dani Harper best for her Changeling series but that will soon change with the upcoming releases of TWO brand new series’: Dark Wolf and Grim. Today, for Stomp vs Romp, Dani’s sharing a sexy excerpt from Storm Warrior, I hope you enjoy it!

Excerpt from Storm Warrior

[quote]              The dream began with a scent. The smell of cool damp earth and rain filled her senses, a faint whiff of horses followed by the warm tang of masculine human skin. She was naked, lying on furs and facing the open door of a skin tent. The breeze was slight but enough to make her shiver, and her nipples had hardened. Her ass was warm, however. In fact her entire backside was heated, pressed tightly against a very large, very male body. Not a stranger, although in the whimsical reality of dreams, she didn’t know who he was. She wasn’t afraid, although she could feel the rock‐hard muscles of his arms, his chest. A powerful man, yet every instinct told her that she knew him as well as she knew herself, and she could feel the bond between them more powerfully than even his touch. As if on cue, his large hand, calloused and work‐hardened, slid over her hip and traveled gently upwards. Her skin tingled deliciously beneath the rough palm, and she shivered again, not from cold but from pleasure as his hand rubbed over her breasts, fondling and squeezing.

His hot breath tickled the back of her neck as he applied soft open‐mouthed kisses and measured bites. His broad fingers tugged softly at her nipples until she felt an answering tug deep in her core. He changed tactics then, making lazy circles and patterns on her belly. She writhed, impatient for more. Suddenly his hand slid between her legs, where she was already slick. He teased at her clit then stroked her deeply until she gasped. Now, now, now… She ground her ass into his groin, feeling his erection thick and hot, wanting it inside her, filling her, claiming her….

Suddenly a deafening crash overwhelmed all her senses. It filled the entire world, echoed and re‐echoed, and Morgan sat bolt upright, clutching her ears.

              Where the hell was she?

Storm Warrior by Dani Harper

Two thousand years ago, Rhys was the fierce Celtic warrior branded by the Romans as “the Bringer of Death.” Mortally wounded in battle, he was captured by the Fair Ones, cunning and powerful masters of the Welsh faery realm. They spared his life…but for a price. As a grim, he has roamed the earth as a messenger of death—until a single act of kindness breaks the ancient enchantment and delivers him into a strange new world…

As a child, Morgan Edwards marveled at the faery tales spun by her beloved grandmother, stories of the magical beings hidden in the heart of ancient Wales. But now Morgan is all grown up, a veterinarian who believes only in what science can prove—until the night a massive black dog saves her from a vicious attack, and life as she knows it changes forever. Suddenly a stranger stands before her, the man of her dreams made flesh and blood not by science, but by a magic that could bring them their hearts’ desires…or cost them everything they have.

  1. This series has been on my TBR list for a while. I’ll have to look at taking the collection on my vacation.

There are so many good heros out there it is hard to say. Terrible from Downside by Stacia Kane would be on that list along with Reseph from the Lords of Deliverance series by Larissa Ione. The list could go on.

  2. Love the question! If I could pick anyone, it would probably be Chris Hemsworth. If it needs to be a book character, I adore several of the Black Dagger Brotherhood!!!

  3. Yum, nice excerpt to launch with!

I can’t answer the question right now, because last night I dreamed Aaron Hernandez was coming on to me. Football fans will know how disturbing that is.

  4. felinewyvern

I think it would probably be Acheron or Zarek from Dark Hunters though lately I have been getting all hot and bothered about Dr. Who (So many faces to choose from :D)

  5. Stephanie F.

If we are talking real id have to say Channing Tatum, he is so yummy. My book boyfriends is a very very long list lol, but if I had to choose it would be a tie between Curran and Dragos.

  6. I have to choose just one? Well if it was a living person, Channing Tatum cause I watched him in a movie last night and as for a book character well then I’ll go for Jeaniene Frost’s character Ian cause Bones is taken but Ian would definitely be a fun bad boy to have entertaining you in your dreams! Although my answer to the question may continue to change till I fall asleep cause their are so many hot sexy guys out there in book land!

  7. Oh, book-wise, I would be happy with about any of Larissa Ione, Cherise Sinclair, or Kallypso Masters’ heroes. Real life guys, I love Hugh Jackman or Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy).

  8. Laurie

Hmm, there are quite a few, but Reyes Farrow hasn’t been mentioned. As for a real one, Charlie Hunnam would work. Nice excerpt!

  9. Jess Lee

Real life would definitely be Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo for an GoT fans). Book wet dream would have to be either Curran or Ethan Sullivan.

  10. Thats easy!!! Jason Momoa, or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, maybe even Justin Timberlake, or Robin Thicke…okay maybe that answer isnt so easy. In terms of book lovers? I’d definitely say Curran, or freaking Camden from Sins and Needles by Karina Halle, also Daniel from Telesa by Lani Wendt Young….okay dont judge my indecision

  11. JenM

In real life? Viggo Mortenson or George Clooney. In books? Definitely Curran – he’s got that edge of crazy that I love.

  12. ashley

ugh too many to choose from! though i do love me some chris hemsworth and i adore Remy from Real 😉

  13. Book characters: either Dragos, Raphael (from Guild Hunters series) or Curran. All extremely dominant but with small soft center that melts for the right person.

In real life: Benedict Cumberbatch or Chris Helmsworth. No explanation needed.
