Question: What Books Do You Include On Your Wishlist?

I should start off by saying that I actually have TWO WISHLISTS when it comes to books; I have one that’s housed on this site that includes all of the upcoming titles releasing within the coming year that I plan on reading, either because they are debut authors that caught my eye, werewolf novels or they are long running series who’s latest installment I’m anxiously anticipating. These are also the books that I am most likely to request review copies of so I keep track of my galleys and ARCs here too.

My GoodReads Wishlist is more of a mix of the above books plus my personal want-to-read titles but I don’t actually own any of these novels. Yet. So this list is basically comprised of every single book that I would like to read in the near future but haven’t acquired yet. All of the books that are currently sitting on my shelves and/or eReaders can be found on my GR to-read list. My system probably isn’t for everyone but it works for me!

What’s on your wishlist?

  1. I have 3…no 4 lists LOL. There’s the Goodreads list that has all the books (already released and to be released) that I would like to read…one day.

Then I have a list on Google+ where I keep track of new releases to feed the Tempt Me post and that’s the one I use to blow my weekly book budget and creates list #3.

#3 is the NEW shelf on my Nook that has all the new books that I’ve bought but haven’t started yet.

And finally #4 is a list to keep track of which books I’ve set dates for reviews so I don’t miss one. Once I finish a book I’ll check list 4 and see if I have anything coming up, if I don’t then it’s on to list 3 to pick the next of the ones that are waiting for me.

All of this mainly because I’ve gotten backlogged and I’m slowly but surely digging my way back out.

I’ve probably got several lists but I most often tag stuff on Goodreads Want to Read. I started a wish list on my Kobo for stuff I want to buy and read. What I haven’t done is track books I’ve bought but haven’t read–my To Be Read pile. I know I have books on my Want to Read list on Goodreads that I have but haven’t read plus those I don’t own. I need a better system!

  3. My wish list is my TBR Goodreads to-read shelf. I have the app on my phone so I just check it whenever I’m book shopping. It always includes something by Sherrilyn Kenyon, Larissa Ione, and Nalini Singh 🙂

  4. I have.. three wish lists: on GR(8 books), Amazon(13 books) and TBD(15 books)
But they overlap, I usually wait and see where can I get the better deal 🙂
