I have, on occasion, been caught talking to a book. It usually happens when I’m reading a series that involves a character that I’ve been following for a long time. I end up feeling like we share the decision making process sometimes and I will give her heck when she makes a dumb mistake. I talk to myself like this in real life too so it’s not that much of a stretch that it carries over into my fantasyland. LOL π Well, there’s my embarrassing confession of the day…

I have been known to talk back to books, especially if I’m pissed at the actions of a character. I do the same with movies too. π

It’s sometimes just hard to resist yelling at stupid people, even when they are fictional. Hehe
Especially when I KNOW I’m right!
I absolutely talk to my books! I annoy my husband to no end with it because he usually thinks I’m talking to him and then when he asks me “What?” I shush him.

I try to avoid doing it when others are around to avoid any confusion but sometimes you just can’t help yourself!
YES! It’s like when I talk to the TV. LOL
I agree it happens more with a long running series that I’m reading.
My DH just rolls his eyes now when it happens. LOL

I talk to the TV too, luckily # 1 does it A LOT (sports) so he has to give me some leeway whenever I do it with books. It’s only fair!
Ummmm, this happens to me all the time!!! And not just with books, movies, too. I’m pretty sure it drives my BF crazy…but I can’t help it. It’s like I get completely wrapped up in the story and react as if I’m sitting right there with the main character experiencing it together.

I’m sure you’re BF has some another quirks of his own too. π
I definitely talk to the books…especially when a character is doing something epically ridiculous. DH gives me a look like I’ve lost my mind and then writes it off as a “Book Thing” which is how he refers to all of my book craziness.

Yeah, my guy pretty much ignores anything book related that comes out of my mouth. Oh well, I tune him out when he talks about basketball so I guess we’re even.
LOL I mot definitely talk to my books, especially if I think they are doing something dumb. π I also talk out loud to myself, to my car, to my laptop. π
I’ve been caught singing in my car a time or two. o_O I used to be embarrassed by it but I find the older I get the less I care about what other people think.
Ha. The heading made me laugh today scrolling through my inbox.

Oh yes! Sometimes it is to the characters and about their actions. Others it’s my out loud reaction which can be words besides laughter!
Glad to hear that I am in good company!
oh yeah definitely! Mostly I scream at stupid characters and wondering why they’re still alive! It’s better than me breaking my Kindle lol

LOL You sure have a lot to say to your books! :p
I read the blog post title and thought “YES.” There was no hesitation. None. I talk to myself all the time, so it probably goes with that, but I definitely talk to my books.
I’ll mostly find myself talking to
my booksthe characters when they’re doing something stupid. I’ll be like “NO, don’t do that!!” or “Seriously?!”Lol I’m just glad to find someone else who does it too! *high five*

I guess it does count but it’s just not on the same level as talking out loud.
{{{shaking with laughter}}} I laugh and cry and rant and rave….scream at them not to do something…ask hem how stupid can you be and wonder aloud how they can possibly still be alive when thy do something so idiotic….Ask them if they are blind…hello….can you NOT see that something is wrong here? Do not go into that room….I said ………….I listen to books and so if I am working while listening and my clients are around…well….you get the picture!!!
And apparently my keyboard likes to leave out letters on this site!
*nods head* I did a whole Caffeinated Confession about my weird book quirks and one of them was talking to characters and author! My hubby thinks I am nuts!
