[box]Here’s what my bio doesn’t say: I’m a total caffeine junkie, love antlers, daggers, Old Country Roses china, and am covered with ink—I’m a tattooed shamanic witch who’s been in the Craft over 33 years (which of course, means I was very very young when I first became involved—yes, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!!!). I live in Kirkland, with my husband and pile o’cats who are the key to my sanity.[/box]

Tell us a little about your books?

[box]I currently write two urban fantasy worlds—the Otherworld Series, where three half-human half-Fae sisters, Camille, Menolly, and Delilah take on a demonic war, along with their friends, lovers, and family of choice. And I write a dark faerie tale world—the Indigo Court series, where Myst, vampiric Fae Queen of the Indigo Court, strives to bring the eternal winter to cover the land. Cicely Waters, wind witch, owl shifter, and heir to the Throne of Winter, must lead the fight against Myst and her Shadow Hunters. Both series are set in contemporary, parallel Seattle WA. Both series are adult, with explicit sex.[/box]

Is this your first RT convention?

[box]No, I was at RT last year and thoroughly enjoyed myself.[/box]

If you’ve been to one before any tips for us newbies?

[box]Advice for newcomers? Plan a little down time—there is so much going on, it’s easy to exhaust yourself. And if you see your fave authors in the hall, feel free to come up and say hi to them. That’s why we’re there![/box]

Where can we find you at RT? Are you on any panels, going to any parties, etc.

[box]I’m leading two panels– Shifters, Weres, Vamps & Fae: We Love Our Nonhuman Characters (with Alyssa Day, Jeaniene Frost, and Jennifer L. Armentrout); and The Research Notebook from Hell: Keeping Your Series Organized, (with Lynda Hilburn, Michelle M. Pillow, and Shawntelle Madison). I will also be participating in two other panels– Fated To Be Mated and That Old Black Magic. AND…I will be part of a vampire social—Vampire Social, Meet, Greet & Play. And, of course, I will be signing books at the Giant Book Fair. So I’ll be very, very accessible![/box]

Since this event is for paranormal authors, can you tell us more about the paranormal in your book(s)?

[box]I’m all about the paranormal—magic, mythology, legend and lore whether from out of the mythology books or created myself. Vampires, Weres, witches, Fae…I write it all![/box]

How is attending a convention as an author different than as a reader?

[box]For authors, it’s work—it’s fun work, but yes, it’s still part of our work. We’re there to meet our readers, we’re there to be accessible, say hello, sign books, and meet & greet.[/box]

Is your RT experience all planned out or are you more of a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type person?

[box]Oh, my time is full there. I have five events, the signing, and several promised meetings with friends, peers, and readers. BUT…if you see me in the hall and I’m not rushing somewhere—feel free to stop me and say hello. That’s what I’m there for![/box]
