In case you haven’t heard of Riffle yet, let me fill you in. It’s a new Facebook app that’s been nicknamed the Pinterest for books. It’s powered by the Facebook social graph and expert book curators and it’s mission is to:
… give you a feed of books based on a social filter and an expert filter. It will also provide a place for authors to promote themselves and interact with readers, to run giveaways and other promotions, all plugged directly into their Facebook fan pages. The app simplifies an author’s access to Facebook’s powerful viral channels and targeting.
It’s been in the testing phases for months but they are now ready to grow and as one of the top bloggers and contributors I’m excited to be able to offer you exclusive invites! This link is only valid for three days so if you’re tempted to click on the link do it now!
And if you do decide to join I hope that you’ll come find me! 🙂
I heard about this and was invited to be an expert. But I haven’t set up my profile yet. Thanks for inspiring me to get going on it.
Happy I could give you a little nudge in the right direction! 😉
Oh wow…that sounds cool. I’m rarely if ever on Facebook but maybe that will change with this.
Euh oh, maybe you should stay away then because it’s addictive. You’ve been warned!
I have been using it for the testing phase too. I can’t seem to get into it. Maybe I just need more time.
There are definitely a few things about it that bug me but they are rolling out some new features so I will reserve judgement for now.
Well, I just signed up so we’ll see what happens! 🙂
Ok! See you on Riffle. :p
I have to say, Internet is a big enough time suck as it is. I like Facebook to interact with some of my favourite authors, and for all the fun pictures they post. I am a reader and a blogger, and I like to support authors, which is why I started posting my reviews on Amazon and Goodreads as well. Will joining this help my favourite authors as well? And does it really add something new?
Probably not but I like finding new ways to share books so…
Thanks for the invite. I just signed up, I’ll have to check it out.
Cool!
