Julie's Question - Yummy Men and Kick Ass Chicks

Carmel: At this very moment I’d have to go with Gin Blanco from Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin series. I am beyond addicted to these novels! I read Spider’s Bite in early September and I’m already on book # 5. I’ve read a few other authors in-between but whenever I do I start to have withdrawals. I don’t know what I’m going to do when I get caught up in this series and have to wait until March 26th, 2013 when Deadly Sting comes out. Luckily for me, I still have 3 installments to go but at the rate I’m burning through these books I’ll probably be stuck waiting sooner than I expect and I’m so not looking forward to that! I don’t think that I’ve fallen this hard for a series since I read Karen Marie Moning’s Fever books last year. Speaking of which… Iced is coming out in less than a week!!

If you haven’t read these books yet then I strongly encourage you to do so. Unless of course, you want to have a life, then you might want to hold off because once you start you won’t be able to stop. I’m telling ya!

Josh: I don’t get too much withdrawal. There is a man named Carl who wears sweatpants and lives next to a talking box of french fries, a talking milkshake, and a talking wad of meat that makes me feel pretty at home, at least until something bad happens to him.

What about you?

  1. That’s how I feel about the characters in the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin (Game of Thrones). Whenever I finish one book in the series I try to give myself some time before I start reading the next one…but I get so anxious to be with them again and be back in their world.

If this series makes you feel like that I’ll have to write them down in my notebook so I can remember to check them out! I love the covers.

  2. @Jade I’ve read the first two books in the Song of Ice and Fire series and I agree, the characters really suck you in. I just wish that Martin’s books weren’t so darned long! I can read 2-3 para books in the time it takes me to read one of his.
