Werewolves, that is. In a world where paranormal creatures live side by side with humans, it’s always a good idea to know what you’re getting into if you decide to date someone outside your species. Vampires, shapeshifters, demons, fey. They all have their pros and cons, right? Today I’d like to discuss what dating a werewolf would be like.
Now I think we can all figure out the horrific downside. What if you’re out on a date with a werewolf and he gets hungry? You could end up not only being treated to dinner but get eaten as dinner. (Or… just eaten, which is something for a Romp post, I suppose!)
I have werewolves sprinkled throughout my Warriors of the Rift series, including Tori Joseph, the heroine of SECRET OF THE WOLF. Werewolves are primal, passionate, and ready for action in the bedroom just about any time. But, since this is the Stomp side of Stomp vs. Romp, let’s talk about exactly what you could expect, if you dated a werewolf, when it comes to action outside the bedroom.
First of all, werewolves are fast, strong, and have a sense of smell that can act as an advanced warning system. So you’ll have plenty of time to either get prepared or get out of the way. If fight is chosen over flight (and with a werewolf, let’s face it, fight usually wins out), you have pure muscle and wild instinct on your team.
Second, if there’s a concern about hiding a body… well, let’s just say that dead men in wolves’ bellies tell no tales and leave it at that.
Werewolves don’t cat around—they mate for life. A werewolf will protect his mate with his life. “Until death do us part” means exactly that to them. And after your werewolf is triumphant in battle, there’s a little stompin’ to be done in the bedroom.
What’s not to love about a werewolf in action?

Author Bio
My interest in writing got an early start when my sixth grade teacher told us to complete the following sentence: “It was a dark and stormy night…” With that my love of all things paranormal was born. I didn’t start writing with an eye toward publication until 1999. I had a few short stories win some contests and get published in now defunct publications. A move to Arizona in 2000 and a new job put my writing on hold. In early 2005 I couldn’t keep the stories inside any longer, and made the decision to focus on a writing career, beginning with electronic publishers. Under the pen name Sherrill Quinn, I signed my first contract in September 2005, and my first novella was published in March 2006. In 2009 the first of three Kensington Brava books was released. |
