Cover Love

The Rules: Choose a cover (or two, or three), preferably new-ish, and share what you like about it. Grab my graphic or don’t (just so long as you link back). I’ll be posting Cover Love every Monday but feel free to post yours on whatever day works best for you.

My Picks:

  Wolf Pact
I’m in love with the red hair on this cover. It’s so vivid and long! I totally have a bad case of hair envy right now. LOL

I like how the moon is positioned and the way that her hair wraps around it.

It’s nice that this book doesn’t play upon every wolf stereotype out there but that it’s still clearly a werewolf novel.

From the bestselling author of Blue Bloods, comes a series that will reinvent the myth of the werewolf in the same way that Blue Bloods did with vampires—with style and NYC flair!

Lawson and his brothers escaped from the underworld and now lead desperate, dangerous lives. They’re pursued by the Hounds of Hell from one town to the next, never calling any place home. But when the hounds finally catch up with them and capture the girl Lawson loves, the hunters become the hunted. Lawson will stop at nothing to track down the hounds, even if the chances of saving Tala are slim…

The only hope he has lies in Bliss Llewellyn. Bliss, too, has lost someone to the beasts and will do anything to get them back—even if it means joining forces with the insolent, dangerously good-looking boy with a wolf’s soul.

Traitor
The thorny brush surrounding the girl is awesome. It almost looks like the forest is out to get her which fits the title nicely.

I like that the girl is all hunched over. It really plays up the theme of the artwork.

The mysterious stranger in the background leaves me wondering whether he’s a friend or a foe.

Ashlyn never believed in fairy tales until she was in one.

They say ignorance is bliss, but not when you’re on a centuries old hit list…and there’s a traitor in your midst. Ashlyn must decide what’s most important: trusting the allies she has, or siding with those she thought were enemies. Ashlyn knows old friends can turn on her, and unlikely allies may be the best chance she has to piece her family back together. No matter what her choice, she could lose someone she loves.

And when you don’t know who to trust, believe one thing: You can never trust a faerie.

  Forbidden
Elena’s eyes really stand out against the red. Makes her look even more wolf-ish. I like!

The black & white paired with the red accent is neat. Plus it screams graphic novel.

Is that a werewolf skull at the bottom?

The team-spirit sign by the side of the highway seems a good omen to loner Morgan Walsh, as he drives to what could be the most important visit of his life — a chance to join the North American Pack. Then he wakes naked in the woods, surrounded by wolf tracks and a ring of suspicious cops. The situation only gets worse when he’s bailed out by Alpha-elect Elena Michaels and Clayton Danvers, her terrifying enforcer and mate.

Disappointed that such a promising young werewolf risked exposing them, Elena isn’t expecting anything from the pesky retrieval job except some much-needed alone time with Clay. Instead, she finds a different kind of evil stalking the streets and forests of Westwood, New York. Trapped in town by a snowstorm and sabotage, Elena, Clay and Morgan must find the mysterious threat before it sets its sights on them.

I am so excited for Wolf Pact to come out. I feel like I have been waiting forever since reading the short story in Keys to the Repository. Can’t wait to see Bliss and all her adventures. Really love the cover for Forbidden! That pop of red really makes it stand out. Great Picks!

  2. I am feeling the hair envy myself! I want that hair and the cover is awesome. And Holy Crap I didn’t know there was a novella called Forbidden. Love the cover. Going to have to go look up the info now. I can’t wait for Thirteen to come out!

  3. I feel the hair envy too, but for different reasons. I’ve tried for the last 6 years or so to get to that shade of red with my hair and never managed to *sob* Anyway, I do love the cover.

And there’s a new novella coming out? I’ve never heard of Forbidden either. Will there be more? Oh, I so don’t want this series to end 🙁
