Cover Love

The Rules: Choose a cover (or two, or three), preferably new-ish, and share what you like about it. Grab my graphic or don’t (just so long as you link back). I’ll be posting Cover Love every Monday but feel free to post yours on whatever day works best for you.

My Pick:

The Lost Girl by Sangu Mandanna
The see-through form and the way it’s used to show an alternative image is really trippy! It’s the first thing that caught my eye on this cover.

I like the color choice. It’s simple and elegant; not overpowering in the least.

The glowing font of the title is pretty and adds just the right amount of bling to the subdued artwork.

Eva’s life is not her own. She is a creation, an abomination – an echo. Made by the Weavers as a copy of someone else, she is expected to replace a girl named Amarra, her ‘other’, if she ever died. Eva studies what Amarra does, what she eats, what it’s like to kiss her boyfriend, Ray. So when Amarra is killed in a car crash, Eva should be ready.

But fifteen years of studying never prepared her for this.

Now she must abandon everything she’s ever known – the guardians who raised her, the boy she’s forbidden to love – to move to India and convince the world that Amarra is still alive

  1. Love the cover! And it sounds very interesting. I think it’s going to my TBR pile.
I’ll share my cover love tomorrow,I’m having a really weird day today.

  2. You find the coolest covers, Carmel! I saw one today that caught my eye and now I can’t wait to read it. It’s The Drowning Girl by Caitlin R. Kiernan. It’s creepily-wonderful! LOL
