This week I’m crazy about…

I love all of the details that went into this cover. The golden tattoos are eye catching as is the lace detail on the model’s dress. I also like the way there’s a frame-type design around the main image with a ribbon that flows over both.

Out on October 1, 2011.

GoodReads

Born into a life of secrets and service, Chrysabelle’s body bears the telltale marks of a comarré — a special race of humans bred to feed vampire nobility. When her patron is murdered, she becomes the prime suspect, which sends her running into the mortal world…and into the arms of Malkolm, an outcast vampire cursed to kill every being from whom he drinks.

Now, Chrysabelle and Malkolm must work together to stop a plot to merge the mortal and supernatural worlds. If they fail, a chaos unlike anything anyone has ever seen will threaten to reign.

What a gorgeous cover! The contrast between the lightness of the image and the darkness of the frame really work wonderfully. 🙂

  2. I absolutely love this cover. The gold tattoos are completely eye catching. I’m not sure if I would have chosen gold, but it really does stand out.

  3. Wowser, that cover IS totally awesome. And the plot, as well. I’m not even into vampire books, and I want to read this one.
I just hope it’s not a repeat of Fallen/Torment with a gorgeous cover and a hopeless story.

  4. That cover is STUNNING! I love the frame; it would be awesome if it’s embossed. I love the ribbon flowing off the page and how the red is also used in the title and rubbies adorning the frame. I love how intricate her dress and hair style are WOW, awesome pick!!

  5. Typically I would think that there was too much going on in this cover… But it is just so gosh darn hypnotizing! Great pick!

    PS. I tweeted about this!

  6. What a stunning cover! I am so buying a copy of it and adding it to my collection, it will look beautiful on the shelf ^___^
