Guest Post: Urban Fantasy Investigations

Posted January 6, 2011 by Carmel in / 5 Comments

Today I have the pleasure of welcoming Stacy from Urban Fantasy Investigations to my blog. She was the first blogger to sign-up for my new guest post project. Hopefully there will be many more to come! If you’re interested in doing either a guest post, review or interview please fill out this form.

RR: Hi Stacy! Can you tell us a little bit about yourself before we get started on the interview?

Stacy: I’m Stacy, I live with my Husband and our 2 children in Charlotte NC. Originally from Chicago IL we moved here 4.5 years ago for my DH’s work. I am a WAHM mom watching 2 other children in my home. I love to read anything that has to do with Urban Fantasy or Paranormal Romance.

RR: You have at least one new post every day, what’s your secret?

Stacy: I’m addicted to reading. I read so much that I’m able to put reviews in between my other posts (Tuesday- Releases, Wednesday- interview, or guest blogs if I have them scheduled, Fridays- Blog hops, Sunday Weekly reviews)

RR: There’s a TON of book release countdowns on your blog! What is your most anticipated read of 2011?

Stacy: OH goodness I could not pick just one if I had to at gun point here is my list of some (hehe):

  • Taken by the Others by Jess Haines
  • Shadowfever by Karen Marie Moning
  • River Marked by Patricia Briggs
  • The Iron Queen by Richelle Mead
  • Tangled Threads by Jennifer Estep
  • Dead Reckoning by Charlaine Harris
  • Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews
  • The Neon Graveyard by Vicki Pettersson
  • Blood Secrets by Jeannie Holmes
  • Grave Dance by Kalayna Price

RR: Care to share a few of your book / blog resolutions for the new year?

Stacy: I’m hoping to get some more guest blog and interviews and also be able to bring more giveaways to my followers 🙂 I’m also hoping that My reading doesn’t make me neglect my house or family to much 😉

RR: Which series are you addicted to at the moment?

Stacy: I just finished reading Arcane Circle by Linda Robertson and Crimson Wind by Diana Francis and they are both stuck in my head making me wish the next books were out NOW.

RR: What’s your biggest challenge as a book review blogger?

Stacy: Writing good reviews without giving away spoilers. I hate when I read something that spoils the book for me so I try to keep all spoilers out of my reviews and it is hard.

RR: I’m always on the look-out for a good werewolf read, any recommendations?

Stacy: ohhhh I’m positive you have already read them lol ok here are some Abra Barrow by Alisa Sheckley wasn’t to bad, Mercy Thompson by Patricia Briggs is a must, Kitty Norville by Carrie Vaughn, Riley Jenson by Keri Arthur is a given, Pride Mates by Jennifer Ashley, Tales of an Urban Werewolf by Karen MacInerney Ok that is all I have 🙂

RR: I’ve read most but not all of those. I have some research to do! Thanks for the interview Stacy!

Stacy: Thank you so much for having me over Carmel!
