This week’s topic:
Coziest Places to Read/Favorite Places to Read
1 | My absolutest most favorite place to read is in bed. It’s a great way to spend a rainy Sunday afternoon or to fall asleep. I love being cocooned in softness and warmth. Just writing this is making me want to be there now! |
2 | Next on my list would have to be in the bath. Although that may be changing soon with my new Kobo. Dropping a paperback is one thing but an eReader? No thank you! For now, it’s a great way to relax and escape from my guy. |
3 | Finishing off my top three is the couch. I love curling up with a good book, a blanket and some hot chocolate or wine. Plus it’s a way my guy and I compromise on me not wanting to watch sports with him all the time. Now I’m there in body just not in mind! |
4 | This isn’t going to be happening any time soon with winter on it’s way but in a lounge chair on the deck. I enjoy being outside, it’s very relaxing where I live out in the country. An added bonus is that I get to work on my tan! |
5 | Not something I do regularly but I like reading on a boat. I love being out on the water where you lose all concept of time. Getting lost in a good book when having no pressing matters to attend to is bliss. |
6 | I’m not a big beach going gal. Namely because there aren’t many nice ones in my area but if there were… reading at the beach would definitely be one of my favorite spots. |
7 | Next up, I’d say would have to be a comfy chair. Like a lazy boy or something. Just kick your legs up, lie back and read. |
8 | Although our car is not the comfiest location I do get a lot of reading done here. We have a very long commute to and from work, so I sometimes use that to our advantage. I’m going to need a book light soon mind you with the days getting shorter and shorter. |
9 | Work is another place I read a lot. It’s great to take a break from a stressful day by reading a couple of chapters during my lunch break. Afterward, I return to my job feeling refreshed. |
10 | Last would have to be in a waiting room. I don’t particularly enjoy waiting around for appointments but it’s a fact of life. A good book makes these long minutes a little more bearable. |

I like to read on the train during my commute…makes time go by faster. 🙂
Even though I don’t go to the beach very often, I can still see myself reading a book.
Great list 🙂
I read a lot to block out the sounds of sports in my house too… lol
The bath seems to be a popular choice! I’m pretty jealous because I don’t have a bathtub! Great list.
@1girl2manybooks Too funny!
@Kelly A. Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that!
Love the bath tub! I’m surprised I haven’t dropped a few books in there. For serious. I am Queen Klutz.
Great list! I totally agree on your top three. Actually I haven’t dropped a book yet while reading in bath, but I’m afraid that will soon be over… Just make sure you don’t drop your shiny ereader!
@Jamie & @Celine – You always run the risk while reading in the bath but my eReader is definitely going no where near water!
