Before I jump into my list for this week, I wanted to do a quick shout out to Avery over at Avery’s Book (and Other Fun Stuff) Nook. She was gracious enough to give me my third blog award, however I’ve already received this one and don’t want to repeat myself by answering the same questions. Thank you for thinking of me Avery, I’m honored! Be sure to check out her blog when you have the chance.

Top Ten Villains, criminals and degenerates
![]() |
1 Voldemort from the Harry Potter Series. I’m sure this nasty villain will be on many lists and I won’t be the only one giving him the number one spot. |
![]() |
2 Sauron from Lord of the Rings. No surprise here either really. My boyfriend will be happy that LOTR made it onto my blog. He’s a huge fan. |
3 Marmee Noir a.k.a The Mother of all Darkness from the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Series. Her name alone instill fear and if you’ve read any of the later books you’re well aware of how bad ass she is. |
|
![]() |
4 Jane of the Volturi from the Twilight Saga. There’s just something about her that freaks me out. Maybe it’s her ability to inflict horrible pain from a distance? Just a thought. |
![]() |
5 Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs. Whether you’ve watched the movies or read the books, you have to agree, he’s all around evil! |
![]() |
6 Akasha from The Queen of the Damned. She’s sort of Anne Rice’s version of Marmee Noir. The mother of all vampires. Definitely evil. |
![]() |
7 Eric Northman from the Sookie Stackhouse series. He’s pretty bad ass but in a sexy / bad boy sort of way, if that makes any sense… |
I couldn’t think of 10 literary ones so here’s 3 from movies/tv to finish off my list:
8- Β Darth Vader
9-Β Lilith from Supernatural
10-The Joker
About the Blogger
I review Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance books with a focus all things werewolf. Based out of Ottawa, Canada
o.O You put Eric in there too?? *dies laughing*
I might try this top ten thing from my blog later. But Eric!! *giggles*
In a way I guess you could say he is a villain.
And ever since I was a little girl I had a thing for Death Vader. His weird breathing thing was such a turn on! Just Sayin.
I really shouldn’t be saying this weird stuff in comments now…feel free to delete this darling.
And love this meme. Great picks also congrats on the blog award.
*hugs*
I struggled with this list and he’s the first one that came to mind to top it off. No worries about the weird comment, I’ve seen worse!
Oooh, good call on Marmee Noir. It’s been a while since I’ve read any of the Anita Blake books, but I remember her vividly.

Nice list. I totally forgot about Akasha this week, but I guess that’s ok, because the Akasha I remember was more from the movie than the book, anyway. And Eric, lol! He never struck me as much of a baddie i the books, but in the tv show? Most certainly.
Haha, as you probably saw, ane was on my partner’s list. She makes me laugh being right under Voldy, ’cause she’s sort of like a walking Cruciatus curse, isn’t she?
Sally Sapphiere – Thanks! It was a toss up between her and Belle Morte.
Kayla + Cyna – Whatched the movie before reading the book did you? π
I totally forgot about Lilith from supernatural and I watch it religiously. I was gonna put the volturi but didn’t.
This assignment is making me realize that without a good villain there is no good story!

Ah, Jane and Sauron, how did I miss them? I love what Kayla+Cyna said about Jane being a ‘walking Cruciatus Curse’– that literally made me laugh out loud.
Anyway, great list! I must second the Joker– I have a few of those token ‘Why so serious?’ t-shirts and merchandise. π
I had Lecter on my list as well. I considered Sauron as well, but eventually decided not to include him.
Eric is always great to put on a list! Great man candy π
I completely forgot about Sauron he was super evil. I don’t think of Eric or Hannibal as evil. I know I’m a weirdo because Hannibal according to most people is evil but I just never saw him that way. I always kind of felt bad for him.
Awesome list though π
AngelicNytmare – Lilith was sooo CREEPY!
Anne Bennett – You’re absolutely right. Well said!
Kat – I’ve watched every Batman movie ever made. Yup, I’m a dork! π
Bibliophile – I’m not a fan of the LOTR books. Even so, Sauron is badass!
Lu – Any excuse to have a pic of Eric on my blog is fine by me!
Megan Marie – I get why not everyone thinks Eric is evil. But Hannibal? Hmm…
Love your top ten!!!!!
Voldemort and Hannibal look SUPER creepy!!!!
Niecole – Thanks! SUPER creepy indeed! LOL
It looks like you read lots of books filled with bad guys! Werewolves, for example. And vampires. Very scary guys.
Here’s my Top Ten Baddies List.
I hope you will also stop by my blog, Readerbuzz, and enter to win A TRIP TO PARIS or a $25 AMAZON GIFT CERTIFICATE!
readerbuzz – I sure do! LOL Thanks for the link to your giveaway. I just signed up.
LOL love Eric on the list ,’sexy in bad ass sorta of way love it π
Hmm, an interesting list to be sure — and I definitely agree with the addition of the Joker on your part, but I was very interested by your addition of Lilith as seen on Supernatural, because while she really worked as a villain and I enjoyed some of the things they did with her, I thought they could have gone with a different approach, but that’s just me π
Anyway, I enjoyed this post on day 2 of my 5-day follow, so keep up the great work π
