Musing Mondays (3)

Hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

This week’s musing asks:

Do you have any special reading that you do as it gets closer to Christmas? If so, tell us about it! And, if not, tell us why not!

I don’t typically read anything special for the holiday season unless there’s a lot of hype surrounding a new book being released. There are already so many good books out there that I would like to read that I’m struggling to find the time to squeeze them in without adding Xmas books or old favorites that I want to re-read to the pile. Maybe if I was a professional reader/reviewer but one can only dream!

  1. We are on the same page! I do get to squeeze in more reading time, but I don’t read holiday themed books!

Thanks for stopping by my blog šŸ™‚

  2. as much as I love Christmas, I don’t really read Christmas books. Maybe it is a matter of time..maybe it is that many tend to be too sentimental…not really sure why.
And yes, there is that towering TBR pile! lol

  3. I agree with you Caite. Everyone knows how a Christmas themed book is going to end, happily. I like books that are a little more unpredictable (well, it depends on the mood I’m in!)and less sentimental.

  4. Hi, Carmel, thanks for checking out my blog. Yes, it will be my first Christmas here, so any readings, will be put on hold temporarily or not. Whatever pans out, I suppose. šŸ™‚

  5. Good to see that I’m not alone in not reading Christmas books. After Monday’s question, I thought maybe I was missing out.
