Friday! Finally! I thought it would never arrive. Having worked straight through last weekend I am in desperate need of a day off. I fully intend to be a lazy bum all day Saturday; Sunday is a different story but I’ll take what I can get! Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment so that I can return the follow if you’re new. Same deal for Twitter. Have a great weekend!
This week’s questions are:
What are your feelings on losing followers? Have you ever stopped following a blog?
I understand that followers will come and go and that it’s nothing personal (usually). Our likes and dislikes change over time. Maybe they no longer read the genres I review or maybe they just have too many things on their plate what with all the e-mail subscriptions, message boards, etc out there; who can keep up? There’s also the people who follow just for the sake of following. Granted, I always do I little happy dance every time my number of followers goes up. But I would much more prefer one follower who checks out my blog often and leaves thoughtful comments over 10 followers who are wallflowers.
I have stopped following a blog. Not many, but the ones who bombard you with 20 regurgitated posts a day without having an original thought of their own. If I want to know about current events or the latest joke I’ll head over to a site that’s dedicated to that. The blogs I follow are for their quality of content not their quantity. I follow you because I enjoy your point of view on a specific topic.
Who are your favorite authors?
Kelley Armstrong, Rachel Vincent and Keri Arthur are definitely 3 of the main ones for me right now. But I am constantly discovering news ones thanks to all the great reviews that are floating around the bloggosphere. So my favorite authors list is a constant work in progress.

hopping by, and I am so with you on your answer! blogging is not a popularity contest, right?
Happy Friday!
New follower, I love finding new books and have already found one from looking over your blog. Thanks

Great fav authors:)I need to read their books so very soon! Hope you like Shiver so far?
I’m always a little bummed when I lose followers but make every effort to
turn every lost follower into a learning experience so I can improve my
performance.
On the flip side, I only stop following people when they give me a reason to
such as being totally off message or being too controversial in an negative,
over-the-top way.
Happy Book Blogger Hop Friday!

Hopping over to say hello! Have a great weekend.
Hi Carmel,
Hopping by and returning the favour. Yes, I’ve lost followers and I have ‘un’followed blogs.
However, I’m not offended if people stop following my blog. We might have different tastes in books, or they might be too busy to read my blog posts. So I don’t take it personally.
I should add that I have more than double the number of followers in my RSS feed than I do on the Google friend gadget. I suspect that most blogs are the same.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
I totally agree with the regurgitated generic posts! There are so many blogs like that lately!
I’m a new follower! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’m off to enter your giveaway now!
Hi, Just hopping by
I like your favourite author list 🙂
You have a great site here!! Thanks for hopping by today, I’m your newest follower! 🙂 I hope you are enjoying Shiver…it’s one of my favorites!
Following you back from the Hop. I haven’t read any of the authors you’ve mentioned but I’ve been wanting to try them out for some time. Just a matter of too many books and too small a budget. 🙂
I’m already a follower of yours, but I completely agree about people who post for quantity over quality! It really does irk me and it clutters up Google Reader when I’m trying to decide whose site to go visit. And I love Keri Arthur! Although admittedly, I’m behind and need to catch up on her Riley Jenson series! >.< '
Have a great weekend! <3

Thanks for the hops everyone! I love this meme, it’s such a good excuse to visit blogs that I follow but don’t always have time to visit and to discover new ones.
Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog! I am a new follower. I agree whole heartedly on your comment about followers. Its hard to lose a follower but it does make sense that folks tastes can change over time and what interests a person today may not later.
