From Kelley Armstrong’s Website: Savannah Levine is in terrible danger, and for once she’s powerless to help herself. At the conclusion of Waking the Witch, Savannah swore that she would give up her powers if it would help a young girl. Little did she know that someone would take her up on that promise. And now, witch hunting assassins, necromancers, half-demons, and rogue witches all seem to be after her. The threat is not just for Savannah; every member of the Otherworld might be at risk. While most her fellow supernaturals are circling the wagons at a gathering of the council in Miami, Savannah is caught on the road, isolated from those who can protect her and unable to use her vast spelling casting talent, the thing she counts on most. In a story that will change the shape of the Otherworld forever, Spell Bound gathers Elena, Clay, Paige, Lucas, Jamie, Hope, and others, who soon learn that the greatest threat to supernaturals just may come from within. |
So psyched to have found this new cover and the story sounds amazing! The hard cover is set to hit the shelves in July 2011. Guess I should get my butt in gear and read Waking the Witch first. It’s great to see Savannah get her own cover, she’s finally coming into her own and red is my favorite color so I think I’m in love!
About the Blogger
I review Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance books with a focus all things werewolf. Based out of Ottawa, Canada
I can’t wait for this book either!! Love that Savannah is getting her own major storyline since the witches are some of my favorite characters.
I’m not completely crazy about this cover but I can’t put my finger on exactly why. I’m sure I’ll love the book though!
I love the cover! I haven’t read any of her books yet – what would you suggest starting with?
Julie (Manga Maniac Cafe)
Angela – Her witches aren’t my favorite but they’re not bad. Who knows, this book might change everything!
Julie – Hmm… that’s a tough one! Bitten is the first book in this series and about werewolves. I like her werewolf novels the most. However, in the Women of the Otherworld series she also has tales of demons, witches, necromancers, etc. So choose your favorite supernatural being and go from there! Armstrong also has a pretty good collection of free online stories here if you’re looking for a brief glimpse into her world before you make a commitment. Hope this helps! 🙂
That is a seriously amazing cover! You should definitely read “waking the witch” because it’ll provide a nice setup for the kind of person Savannah has become 🙂
Stopping by for the Friday Follow and thanking you for stop by mine 🙂
Darkeva
Darkeva – Thanks for the tip and returning the follow. Waking the Witch can’t be released soon enough in paperback IMO.
Savannah’s first story at least, is a bit different from the others with more action and less romance~~ I’m glad that the new covers coming out still have people on them! The old covers seem to have been replaced with weird checkered drawings T_T

Sniffly Kitty – I’m not a huge fan of the new covers either. I get that their trying to link the books together but now they’re all kinda blah.
