Another year has come and gone which means that it’s time to participate in Two Chicks On Books, Reading YA Rocks, Magical Urban Fantasy Reads and Tales of a Ravenous Reader annual TOP 10 OF 2014 week long meme. Not only do I love lists but these posts are easy to put together and schedule during the holidays so that I can spend time with my family. Enjoy!

10. Bannerman Boru
The hero of Darby Kaye’s new Urban Fantasy series was an instant hit with me; from his Irish brogue, to his cavalier mannerisms, to his love for his son and hot warrior bod.
09. Curran
This dude’s a regular on my year-end book boyfriends list, and considering he’s a cat (ok lion) that’s saying something. Unfortunately Kate is NOT someone I’d want to mess with, so I crush on him from afar.
08. Reyes Farrow
Even though I read SEVENTH GRAVE AND NO BODY several months ago, this man still visits me regularly in dreamland. If you haven’t made his acquaintance yet, well… more for me!
07. Bones
He’s blonde, immortal, badass, and has an oh so sexy Brit accent, plus from what I’ve seen in the NIGHT HUNTRESS books he’s absolutely dynamite in bed.
06. Alec Royce
I just met this charming bloodsucker in September, but as you can tell, he made a HUGE impression on me. I’m cheating a bit because I’m only at book 4, not 6. Ssshh!
05. Vail
Tortured heroes are irresistible IMO, and no one does ’em quite like Felicity Heaton. Next year is going to be challenging to pick my fav ETERNAL MATES protagonist, but Vail was hands down the winner of 2014.
04. Ty
If good guys are more your style, then Bonilla’s handsome Jinn is as perfect as they come. I seriously can’t get enough of this sweetie which is why he made the cut two years in a row. Ty never disappoints!
03. Adam Hauptman
No RR book boyfriends list would be complete without at least one werewolf; this man’s as alpha as he is sexy. He’s one heck of a swoon-worthy character! ❤
02. Clay Danvers
I never thought I’d see the day when my FAVOURITE wolf would come up short of the #1 spot, but here we are. He’s first among the weres though, so that still counts for something!
01. Jamie Fraser
This Scot needs no introduction IMO; whether you’ve read/listened to the books, watched season 1 of the TV series, or both. His grade-A hunk status is undeniable.
Owner, designer and main blogger behind Rabid Reads. Avid book reader, snowboard bunny, video gamer and Supernatural fan. I love all things paranormal, werewolves especially. Oh, and I’m Canadian, eh!
At the beginning of the year, I never would’ve thought Vail would’ve been on anyone’s book boyfriend list. Boy, was I surprised. Clayton Danvers, I miss him so much. That might be my next listen. Lots of other great book boyfriends. Great list. Merry Christmas. Melanie recently posted…Best Werewolf Books of 2014
I was on the fence about Vail as well, but once I read his story I was a goner. I can’t believe that you’ve been neglecting Clay for MONTHS. Merry belated Xmas!
I have only read one of the Nighthuntress books but I do agree Bones is a great Book Boyfriend. I have watched Bitten on syfy and I love Clay, so I am sure I would like him in the books..a must read. I have also watched Outlander series and love Jamie (probably won’t ever read the books). 🙂 Stormi recently posted…Out With The Old/In With the New: April 2014
Those are some good book boyfriends. Though I will never fight you over Reyes as I happen to be IN LOVE with another hunk from that series LOL 🙂 Felicia the Geeky Blogger recently posted…2014 Wrap Up: Stats, Best Of, Extras, and Challenges
Jamie…check…Adam…check…Curran…check…Bones…check…Reyes…check!
Now I’ve got to meet the rest of the boyfriends on your list. Jonetta (Ejaygirl) recently posted…Top 10 of 2014 | Best Book Boyfriends of 2014
JAMIEEEEE!!! I had to add it to my list even if I had discovered him this year by reading only Outlander (book 1) so technically I couldn’t have included him!! But he is THE book boyfriend!!
I’ve read Oultander and book two only and yes I love Jaimie Fraser! Maybe I will have read all the others sometimes next year. I am actually listening to them on audio.
Hi Carmel!
Definitely can’t argue with Jamie Fraser but also Clay Danvers–they are in my Top 5 as well, and it goes without saying but I cannot freakin’ wait until Outlander returns 😉
They did an excellent job of the TV series; I even managed to get #1 hooked on it. Score!! It just sucks that it airs 2-3 weeks behind the US schedule in CAN.
Adam made Anne’s list. But he pissed me off too much in Night Broken for him to make my list. LOL
Bones would normally make it to my list but he didn’t make it this year. There were a few new hotties on my radar this year so a few old faves got left out.
I had two werewolves on my list, aren’t you proud? ;p
Aaww, why do you have to hate on Adam like that!? You have more man-candy to chose from now that you’ve branched out in your reading. Euuh, proud? No! Quit stealing my alpha males!!
I love Bones, Reyes, and Adam! But I didn’t read any of their books this year. I need to catch up on those series. Jennifer recently posted…Top 10 of 2014 ~ Best Book Boyfriends of 2014
Jamie is my #1 book boyfriend for 2014 as well. I mean…he’s just too fabulous for words!! He makes me wish I was Claire! *wink* Curran is also quite dreamy but Rogan from Burn for Me is just the perfect combination of crazy+dark+mysterious that has me wishing he wasn’t fictional! *snickers* Cristina recently posted…Pivot Point (Pivot Point #1) by Kasie West
Unfortunately I didn’t listen to Burn for Me until AFTER I posted this list, otherwise he’d most likely have replaced Curran for me too. I loved Jamie before, but seeing him on TV made me appreciate him so much more!
I would have agreed with Adam Hauptman as a top boyfriend, until I read Night Broken and saw how whipped he is by his ex. It’s like he and his werewolves all took stupid pills or something! 😛 Mogsy recently posted…Audiobook Review: Endsinger by Jay Kristoff
I’m totally sighing over many of the guys on your list, Carmel…Curran, Bones, Adam, Clay…and the others I’ll be meeting soon. Vail I’ve met but I’m anxious to get to know him better. 😉 Bookworm Brandee recently posted…**My TBR List Review ~ December ~ Redemption ~ C.J. Barry**

Clay…swoon. I’m a big fan of Outlander the tv show but I confess I’ve not yet read the book! Bad book blogger, right here. Danya recently posted…Short Fiction Review: Gifted by Kelley Armstrong
I agree with all the ones I’ve read, but I still need to meet #2, 4, 6, and 10. I’d have to add Asher from Crimson Night series, Trent from the Hollows, and Terrible from Downside Ghosts to my list 🙂
I love Bones too. ^_^ However, I only read book 1 and 2 of the series but, still, they were great and the characters too. HA, I love his accent too 😉 Although I read them in French so I’m looking forward to trying the 3rd one in English. Also, ah yes, I have met Curran when reading Kate Daniels #1 back in September. He was nice. There’s potential for him to be in my Top Ten list ;D Lola recently posted…Favorite Reads of 2014 ❤
Now I’m trying to sound out an English accent with a French twist. I’m sure it’s still sexy because it IS Bones after all. Keep reading, and Curran will wind up on your list in no time!
I have a weakness for tortured heroes too, as long as they aren’t jerks of course. I’d probably say Percy Jackson or Jem Carstairs. (Age appropriate versions of course) and I’m liking Fortitude Scott at the moment too. Molly Mortensen recently posted…Happy New Year! and 2014 in books

Clay is even hotter in the books! The actor didn’t do his Southern twang justice at all. The Outlander books are loooong, so I don’t blame ya.
Those are some good book boyfriends. Though I will never fight you over Reyes as I happen to be IN LOVE with another hunk from that series LOL 🙂

Merry Christmas!
I haven’t read all of these but I couldn’t agree more with Jamie, Bones, Curran, and Reyes!

4 out of 10 is pretty decent, plus I’m positive that you have other candidates on your list. Merry belated Christmas!

You read WAY more romance than me, so maybe you should leave the rest alone, and pick on some of the Contemporary men. 😉
JAMIEEEEE!!! I had to add it to my list even if I had discovered him this year by reading only Outlander (book 1) so technically I couldn’t have included him!! But he is THE book boyfriend!!
Merry Xmas Carmel!!

I cheated with my Jess Haines pick, so we both broke the rules a little bit. Ssshh! I won’t tell if you don’t. Merry belated Xmas, Pili!
I only know Jamie, lols. Still another awesome list 🙂
Jamie’s #1 on my list, so at least you’re familiar with the most important one. Hehe!
I’ve read Oultander and book two only and yes I love Jaimie Fraser! Maybe I will have read all the others sometimes next year. I am actually listening to them on audio.
I listened to the most recent installment in audio, and the narrator was phenomenal. It was a huge commitment though at 45 hours.
mmmmm Curran!!!

Oh gosh, totally missing out… I don’t know any of these delicious sounding men
In that case, you should get on that ASAP!! Or, maybe not, cuz then that just means more for me.

I don’t know what’s up with Briggs and ex spouses; there’s a similar story line in Dead Heat. Urgh!
Outlander is on my Need to Read SOON!! list. I’m so behind the rest of the world!!

I’m lucky in that I discovered that series years ago, not sure I’d have the willpower to play catch-up now.

Here’s hoping that Armstrong continues to write WOTO shorts featuring Clay for years and years.
I agree with all the ones I’ve read, but I still need to meet #2, 4, 6, and 10. I’d have to add Asher from Crimson Night series, Trent from the Hollows, and Terrible from Downside Ghosts to my list 🙂
There was no new Terrible book in 2014, well unless you count the short anthology. I still have to read The Hollows series…
Theses are some great choices and I couldn’t agree more with Curran, Reyes, Vail and Jamie! I need to meet the rest for sure 🙂
