And are the vampire killings less by chance and more methodical?

The investigation takes an eerie, personal turn when Sam discovers a connection between herself and the victims—and a clue to her own mysterious origins. With the violence escalating and the danger drawing closer to home, the stakes are raised and the mission changes from seeking justice to ensuring Sam and Gabriel’s own survival. Armed with a magical wand, Levet confronts Damon, a pureblood Were intent on seizing the throne. Challenging the King will put the pups at risk—and drive away Damon’s potential mate, Gia. by Katherine Howe
Paranormal
Amazon GoodReads

Book Description

Chilling real-life accounts of witches, from medieval Europe through colonial America.

From a manual for witch hunters written by King James himself in 1597, to court documents from the Salem witch trials of 1692, to newspaper coverage of a woman stoned to death on the streets of Philadelphia while the Continental Congress met, The Penguin Book of Witches is a treasury of historical accounts of accused witches that sheds light on the reality behind the legends. Bringing to life stories like that of Eunice Cole, tried for attacking a teenage girl with a rock and buried with a stake through her heart; Jane Jacobs, a Bostonian so often accused of witchcraft that she took her tormentors to court on charges of slander; and Increase Mather, an exorcism-performing minister famed for his knowledge of witches, this volume provides a unique tour through the darkest history of English and North American witchcraft.

Cole is of course 28 in my head though rather than 17 or 18 so I don’t feel creepy crushing on him 😉 I need to get caught up on the Merrick brothers, I read the first two and loved them but got distracted and never finished out the series. *hangs head*

    • I do that too whenever I’m reading YA because it’s impossible not to feel weird when your latest fictional BF is almost half your age. LMAO

  5. I’m excited for Winterspell! I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I can’t resist a Nutcracker retelling. 🙂 I would love to purchase the Queen of Zombie Hearts (the cover is gorgeous), but unfortunately I didn’t enjoy book one. 🙁
