Question: If The Easter Bunny Could Leave You One Book, Any Book, What Would It Be?

You want me to pick only one book? SERIOUSLY? I’m pretty sure we’ve been over this before… how impossible it is for me to narrow down pretty much anything that has to do with reading to just one choice. Plus, I LOVE chocolate, so as much as I would be psyched to receive a novel for Easter, if it came down to an either or type situation I’d probably pick the delicious bunny.

I just finished reading Sierra Dean’s COLD HARD SECRET earlier this week, so right now I’d have to say A SECRET TO DIE FOR just because I’m still reeling from the former’s cliffhanger ending. But, if I look at the “big picture”, I’d have to go with VISION IN SILVER, the next installment in Anne Bishop’s THE OTHERS series. Or maybe MENAGERIE by Rachel Vincent?

Ok, I’m going to stop at three before I get carried away, and instead ask YOU to pick only one read (if you can!).

What book do you wish the Easter Bunny brought you?

  1. I’d have trouble choosing one only I could probably narrow it down to 50, 48 if pushed. But otherwise I’d still be agonising next easter.

  2. Pfft. This is easy, LOL. Magic Breaks by Ilona Andrews 😉

  3. This is an impossible question. I dunno, pick ANY book from my TBR wishlist and I’ll be happy lol.

  4. Like Julie S wrote above~ This is an impossible question!!! There is no way in HELL that us book lovers would be able to choose just one book. Lol!!!! I have a hard time going to the bookstore and buying just one book. DOESN’T HAPPEN!!!!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts Carmel.
    Happy Reading ♥

    • Not one commenter has even TRIED yet. Love it. Hehe Except Jessica of course.

  5. Signed orginial copy of Revelations. Pretty sure I could sell that for enough to buy all the books I will ever need.

  6. The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness, I am dying to get my hands on it.

    • Those books were too heavy for me, but you’re definitely not alone on that one.

  7. seriously I can’t pick just one..its like asking if I have a favorite child( which I don’t) .

    • Or, at least not one that you’ll admit to on the internet. 😉

  8. Oh gosh, right with you on impossible. But the first that comes to mind is The Treatment by Young

    • I haven’t heard of it… Off to GoodReads I go!

  9. This is just a cruel, cruel question. You KNOW I can’t choose just one book, especially not if it’s the ONLY book. I have to? *sigh* I guess I’d have to second you on the next installment of Anne Bishop’s The Others series or Jim Butcher’s next Dresden Files.

    • You haven’t read Murder of Crows yet?? Why the heck NOT?

  10. Oooo I like this question. Except for the limiting me to only one thing. If forced to choose by this maniacal bunny though, I’d go with BURNED by Karen Marie Moning. I’ve been waiting years for that book. Literally. I NEED MY RYODAN!!!

    • I’ve kinda put Burned out of my mind after the bump in the release date. 🙁

  11. D: this question! Hmm…I would have to say The Blood of Olympus, which is the last book in the PJO/HoO series by Rick Riordan. I WANT TO KNOW HOW IT ALL ENDS. 😛

  12. KMM’s next book 🙂

  13. This is really hard for me-either Dust to Dust the last in the Experiment in Terror series by Karina Halle, or either of Amber Lynn Natusch’s new books from her Caged series or her Unborn series. Then there is Five Weeks by Dannika Dark. I can’t just say one..sorry!

    • Haha At least you tried Lorna. That’s what counts. 😉

  14. Hmm, there are SO many I could choose from. Maybe HEIR OF FIRE by S.J. Maas? Yesssss.

  15. Ok yes – DEFINITELY I would also go with VISION IN SILVER by Anne Bishop. I’ve loved those Others novels so much.

    • YES! Anne Bishop needs to write FASTER. 🙂

  16. Vision in Silver would be my pick, but I am also dying to get a hold of Sixth Grave and Kevin Hearne’s latest!

  17. Secret to die for…YES, omg the end

  18. I’m going to go with your pick and save my book for VISION IN SILVER by Anne Bishop but I’m selfish and want the audio and hardcover to count as one book. 🙂

  19. Really? Just one? I refuse to answer this question on principle 😉

Actually, more like I can’t answer, or else I’d be flooding your comments section. Especially if we can name books not out yet. Well, I suppose I wouldn’t mind if the Easter Bunny brought me something that’s out in the UK but not in the US yet – Gospel of Loki by Joanne Harris (who also wrote Chocolat, if I’m going to turn this full circle and relate it back to chocolate and Easter 😉 )

  20. Even though I don’t think it’s going to be very good, I want to read Fever
Moon by Karen Marie Moning. I just want to see what the Fever world might look like.

    • You might be surprised. KMM’s series is very addictive. Trust me!

  21. Oh gosh … I’d pick one that isn’t out yet – hey, the bunny is magic. I’ll go with The City of Mirrors, the final book in the Passages trilogy.

    • Oooh yes, the wait for series finales can be brutal!

  22. ARGH THIS IS HARD! Hmmmmm…

I think I will probably wish for Nalini Singh’s Shield of Winter as it’s my most anticipated book of this year 🙂

    • I haven’t yet that series yet, but it’s on the list…

      • It’s quite daunting to start a series but I inhaled that one lol. I love the world-building and I was just so fascinated with the PSY 🙂 I hope you like it as much as I did Carmel!

  23. Come on…were talking about a MAGIC bunny here! Just a one book limit….pffft…not gonna happen rabbit! I’ll just let Chess chase you around the garden until you over up more. Mwah ha ha!!!

Seriously…there are too many out that I want and it’s too hard to choose just one. So fork over the chocolate Easter Bunny 😀

  24. It’s sad because I might pick the chocolate too xD Speaking of, now I have to go have some, see what you have caused? 😉 Anyway, this really is a tough question. Hmmm I think it would have to be a book that I’m anxiously awaiting for like Ruin & Rising. Surely the Easter Bunny can hop into the future or something and grab it for me? 😉 Fun post!

    • I saw your Instagram post. LOL

      • It’s all your fault.

  25. Just one? Eap I have no idea. I want them all heh… no really have no clue, I can’t even shop without loading up on like 20 of them and then picking them back out slowly. It’s hard lol

  26. Only bloggers would struggle with this question. LOL I think right now it’ll be Anne Bishop’s series coz y’all love it!

    • Have you read the first two books yet? I’ll have to start stalking your shelves on GoodReads to make sure. 😛

  27. My TBR mountain range makes this an almost impossible choice but, since I had to wait so long for the Kindle version to be available to Oz readers, I’d have to choose Sweet Revenge by Rebecca Zanetti (Forgotten Sins was soooooo delicious).

    • I just got a copy of Forgotten Sins in audio, so that’s GREAT news!

  28. I guess I would pick daughter of smoke and bone ^^

  29. I’d go with Heir of Fire!! I just need that book and fall cannot be here soon enough. Great post, Carmel 🙂

    • The snow just finished melting here, so I don’t want fall to arrive too soon. Hehe

  30. He he! Just one 😉 the first book that came to my mind was Heir of Fire by Sarah J. Maas – I’m loving this series. KMM is my fave author, I would have instantly said Burned but I’m bummed about the revised release date.

    • Me too. 🙁 Hopefully the wait will prove to be worthwhile…

  31. Can I cheat and say BDB box set? :DDD Or Fever?
