Today I have the pleasure and honour of being among the rare few who get to share an exclusive teaser from Amanda Bonilla’s upcoming book, Crave the Darkness! I’ve been a fan of hers since her debut book, Shaedes of Gray, came out in December 2011 so I’m super psyched to be able to spread the Shaede Assassin love and to hopefully entice other readers to get caught up in the series before March 5 when her third novel comes out.
Amanda Bonilla is a pro at her craft and her incredible writing really shines through in her books; the pacing is fluid, the world-building vast and her characters are larger-than-life. I adored the way that she introduces her heroine Darian to readers! Shaedes of Gray starts off with our gal thinking that she’s the only supernatural on the planet but after years of flying solo she finally learns the truth. Bonilla gradually reveals the secrets of her shaede universe to both her character and her audience and the experience is beyond memorable.
Blood Before Sunrise is complex, fast-paced and the ending is simply heartbreaking. This book showcases Darian at her weakest but as you probably know, adversity breeds strength and the result is outstanding character growth. Ooh, and did I mention that there’s a plethora of yummy men to choose from? 😉
With a new novella AND book on the way now’s the perfect time to jump on the Amanda Bonilla fan-wagon if you’re not already on it! And trust me on this, you WANT to be on it!

“Xander.” My mouth was almost too dry to speak. “You just want what you can’t have. Your sense of entitlement is going to get you into trouble someday.”
He placed his hands at my waist. The heat from his touch seeped through my clothes, pulsing. Or was that the blood pounding in my veins?
“Oh, it already has.” Xander’s head bent to mine, his mouth hovering, but not yet touching. “But believe me, it’s worth the trouble every time. I always get what I want,” he whispered before closing the distance between us completely.
