Question: Is There A Product That, When You See It, Makes You Think Of A Book?

Question hosted by Yummy Men and Kick Ass Chicks

You’re all probably beginning to get annoyed with my constant blabbering about Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin series and I wish I could tell you that this will be the last time that I bring it up for a couple of weeks but… I’d be lying. Haha anyway, in answer to this week’s question there are two products that remind me of this series:

Gin and Tonic BBQ Chicken

Gin and Tonic because the main character’s name is Gin, it’s her drink of choice and whenever someone asks her how she spells her name she always answers “like the drink”. BBQ chicken also reminds me of this series because Blanco owns a BBQ restaurant, she’s from the South and I love the way Lauren Fortgang (the narrator in the audio books) says barbecue; it just rolls off her tongue so perfectly!

The other series that comes to mind is The Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R. Ward. Product placement is HUGE in this series and I’ve come to associate a few items with these books namely: Grey Goose, Cadillac Escalade and Armani.

Grey Goose Escalate Armani

What about you?

  1. Sometimes ketchup makes me think of The Hallows series by Kim Harrison. Genetically modified tomatoes killed of a lot of humans (but not the paranormal beings) and now humans refuse to touch the stuff.
