The Rules: Choose a cover (or two, or three), preferably new-ish, and share what you like about it. Grab my graphic or don’t (just so long as you link back). I’ll be posting Cover Love every Monday but feel free to post yours on whichever day works best for you.
|I think this is my fav cover in this series so far (but then again, I think I say that every time Amanda reveals a new cover…)!
I like the greens and the oranges. It’s a nice colour combo.
I’m diggin’ how the artist tried to convey that Darian is a Shaede with the shadows and such. Excellent job in my opinion!

Shaede Assassin #3
by Amanda Bonilla

|Nothing comes easy for Darian. Her heightened powers make her indispensable to the Shaede Nation, but dangerous missions have driven her lover, Tyler, to his breaking point. Darian must salvage their bond, but a new assignment to protect Anya—a fellow Shaede and the first of their kind to become pregnant in centuries—stands in their way.
It doesn’t help that the two Shaedes are longtime rivals and share nothing besides mutual hatred. But when it becomes clear that someone—or something—is bent on destroying the expectant mother and her unborn child, Darian must put her feelings aside and track down Anya’s would-be assassin.
As she probes into Anya’s past, Darian digs up long-buried secrets—and a connection between Tyler and the mission that could destroy everything between them…
|I LOVE the red dress and the cowbow-ish boots. Simple yet stunning.
I like her tat. It’s very un-girly for lack of a better word.
This is one of those covers that makes me want to read the book without even knowing anything about it.
Lone Star Witch #1

|As the seventh daughter of a seventh daughter—and a member of Ipswitch’s Royal family—Xandra Morgan should be a witch of incredible power. But things don’t always turn out like you expect…
While she hasn’t lived up to her family’s expectations, Xandra has come to terms with her latent magic and made a life for herself in Austin, Texas, running a coffee shop where she makes potions of a non-magical nature. While things aren’t perfect, Xandra is happy—until she runs into powerful warlock Declan Chumomisto.
Xandra hasn’t seen Declan in years, and though she’s still overwhelmed by his power, she doesn’t trust him. And when her own powers awaken one night and lead her to the body of a woman in the woods bearing the symbol of Isis—the same one that has marked Xandra since the day she met Declan—she’s filled with a terrible suspicion, soon confirmed: the woman is connected to him.
Xandra doesn’t want to believe that Declan is capable of murder, but as the body count mounts, and Xandra’s own powers spiral out of control, she’s not sure she can trust her own instincts…
|I seem to be on a red dress kick this week but really, who can resist something so pretty!
This cover is rather fitting for Halloween. It has a cool creepiness factor that I adore.
The art work kinda screams vamp but not really and of course, being the werewolf fanatic that I am, this one has me curious about the “beast”.
|The Better to Bite
by Cynthia Eden
|Don’t go into the woods.
Sixteen-year-old Anna Lambert knows that the woods near her new home aren’t safe. She’s seen the wolves that stalk through that dark forest, but Anna doesn’t scare easily.
Anna is cursed–or gifted, depending on how you look at it–with the ability to find anyone or anything that is lost. So when folks start disappearing in the small town of Haven, Anna’s father, the sheriff, has to use her special skills as they begin to hunt for a killer.
But the killer isn’t exactly human. As Anna is pulled deeper into the secrets of Haven–a town that is truly cursed–she finds herself falling for two, equally mysterious boys. With the danger closing in, one of those boys may just turn out to be her savior. And the other? He could be a very big, very bad…beast.
Beware of beasts…and boys…with bite.
