Women of the Otherworld Challenge hosted by Moonlight Gleam's

Lucy over at Moonlight Gleam’s is hosting a Women of the Otherworld Reading Challenge to commemorate the end of this fab series in July with the release of Thirteen. Like Lucy, Kelley Armstrong is my all-time favorite author and the same can be said about this series (did I mention that she’s Canadian!?). I was already planning a re-read because I read most of these books before I started book blogging and, as a result, didn’t write reviews. So, this works out beautifully!

Admittedly, I am a little torn though as to which format to read these books in. The covers have changed several times over the years so I’m accumulated a real mix and would like them all to be the same because this is really a collector series for me. I’m not a fan of the black covers that are currently available in Canadian book stores but I’m hoping that further down the road a box set will come out. In the mean time, I think I’m going to give the audio books a try. It’ll be a new way to experience this series and I’m excited about the prospect. I downloaded Bitten from audible.com yesterday and can’t wait to get started!

The fact that Lucy is also offering up monthly giveaways as part of this challenge is just an added bonus. Please check-out Moonlight Gleam’s for full details and to sign-up. I encourage anyone and everyone who has this series on their TBR pile to participate. The Women of the Otherworld series is an absolute MUST for all Urban Fantasy and werewolf fanatics alike. So, what are you waiting for!?

  1. I might do this…if i can get caught up on some of my other series this month…since I have had my eye on these books forever.
For some reason you reviews have been showing on my goggle reader, but I was not listed as a follower..weird huh? glitch? any-who I am now following on GFC again *i Hope*

  2. I have been thinking of re-reading the series once Thirteen is out because the big ending of the final trilogy will probably make more sense to me when I’ve read them closer together. I’ve typically read the books as they’ve come out after Industrial Magic and as such, it has been a long time since I read Bitten. I also want to read Elena and Clay’s story in sequence up to Hidden, as well. I probably won’t be doing this for a while though because I need to get my TBR list down before I can justify re-reading the books I’ve already read. And yeah, I’m not a big fan of the black covers either. I prefer the original UK covers which we had until Frostbitten.

  3. Oooooooh, thanks for posting this, Carmel! I have this series on my TBR list waiting for me to get to it! I’m going to sign up!

  4. I don’t think I will be re-reading them. As much as I want to my reading pile is on like over load. Kelley is one of my all time favorite authors. This series and her YA series are amazing.

  5. @kimba88 It’s a big challenge but it’s the only one I’m entering this year so… here goes nothing! LOL Maybe you’re subscribed via RSS instead? Either way, GFC is a pain!

  6. Oh, I’m doing this. I’ve had this series on my TBR pile since what seems like forever, so it’s a good chance to read it. I figure it’s now or never.

  7. I started this series a few years ago but only got through the first two. I wonder if I signed up if it would really push me to continue… I’ll have to think about it.
Good luck and have fun with your reread!

  8. Thank you so much for sharing the details Carmel!!!! You Rock!!! Remember that members don’t have to commit to the entire 13 months – 13 books, they can join in just for a month if they only want to read one book :)! xoxo
