Wolfish Buy: Full Moon Coin Collection

Posted June 11, 2011 by Carmel in / 12 Comments

My guy came across this coin the other day in The Royal Canadian Mint’s catalogue. Isn’t it gorgeous!? It’s part of a four piece set. Unfortunately, it also costs $121.95 CAD. 🙁 I’m finding it hard to justify spending that amount of money on something that’d just sit on a shelf in my house somewhere. As a compromise, I’m posting a pic of it on my blog so that I can look at it anytime!

How lovely! I’d love to have it as the second wolf coin I own. 🙂 The first one is from Alaska, and I love it so much.

  2. Hi! thanks for joining us over at Sleepless in Samoa. Im looking forward to reading through your reviews and I love finding another person who is a Twilight fan ( and not ashamed to say so…I just had to watch the Breaking Dawn trailer AGAIN right here on yr site lol) Rabid Reads is such a cool name and as the mythology blog thing is intriguing. As soon as i can figure out how to work the links I want to get in on that blogaction.

  3. That coin is gorgeous. Seeing color on coinage sort of blows my conception of coin norms but it’s so lovely.

I have to say, I saw on your profile that you work in a museum and as an archaeology major I have serious job envy! That is amazing and wonderful.

  4. Oh dude that is wicked awesome!! Saw the pic through my follow blogs and thought ohh! Wonder if Carmel knows where we van buy it!! But over $100?? Why can’t they also sell the coins individually?! That would be cool!

    Oh well…guess I don’t need to spend the money either… 😛

  5. The coin’s so gorgeous! But it does seem a bit expensive hahaha. A big thank you for dropping by my blog and following 😀

    New follower!

  6. @Lori @ Romancing the Darkside Just think of all the useless stuff we could buy if we won the loto! *sigh*

@BookBelle Thanks for returning the follow. 🙂

@DJL Ooh, your second wolf coin. I’m curious to know what the first one looks like!

@Lani Wendt Young Hehe Yup, I am a Twilight fan and I’m not ashamed to admit it!

@kaye (paper reader) My Museum job isn’t all that glamorous but I enjoy it. Mine’s of the Science and Tech variety though.

@Jessica Of course I know where to buy it. This is ME we’re talking about! The completely werewolf obsessed chick!

@Celesta Thanks for returning the favour!

@Manga Maniac It is definitely cool, but expensive. 🙁 Thanks for stopping by Julie.

  7. Gorgeous coin – I am a coin collector and now I soooo want those, but alas I too am not ready and able to part with that kind of money. Thanks for sharing though.
