Rabid Bites: Cover Reveals & Shopping (4)

Here’s what caught my eye in the book world and blogosphere this week:

Cover Reveal: Hunted by DJ DeSmyter

From GoodReads: (August 9, 2011)

Seventeen-year-old Lily Atwater has always kept to herself, living a lonely life with her workaholic dad. Not the most thrilling life, but it’s quiet and ordinary, two things she’s come to expect from living in Victor Hills, Michigan.

When kind and mysterious Alex takes refuge in her home, she is suddenly thrown into his world of werewolves, a world he wants to keep her safe from. But while the two of them grow closer, a relentless hunter continues his search, stalking the woods with hopes of catching the wolf that got away.

Cover Reveal: Nightshade by Andrew Cremer – Paperback Edition

From GoodReads: (June 28, 2011)

Calla Tor has always known her destiny: After graduating from the Mountain School, she’ll be the mate of sexy alpha wolf Ren Laroche and fight with him, side by side, ruling their pack and guarding sacred sites for the Keepers.

But when she violates her masters’ laws by saving a beautiful human boy out for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she might lose everything–including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?

Shopping: Werewolf Style

Wolf USB Flash Drive

I think the USB drive is absolutely adorable. It’s large size makes it impractical but I still want one! And if wolves aren’t your thing, the vendor makes different ones too. As for the perfume, I think it’d make a fun gift and I’m curious as to what it smells like. Plus, it’d be fun telling people I’m wearing eau de werewolf when I get asked about my unique scent. LOL!

  1. Is the USB just the wolf’s head? Or is his butt included? (if so, that’s be super cute)…

    I tweeted about this post Carmel!

  2. I am furious with the new Nightshade and Wolfsbane covers. I am not a fan….at all.

    I love the USB– so cute!! The cover for Hunted and the new cover for Nightshade are both beautiful. I still need to read Nightshade, among a million other books. Can’t wait to read what you think of Shadow of the Sun, by the way. That one looks really good. 🙂

  4. @kristina Glad to hear that I wasn’t the only one mindlessly browsing the web. 😉

    @LRAtRandom Nightshade has been on my list for too long.

    @aussieinengland Depends who you ask but I understand where you’re coming from.

    @DJL Yeah, I made some good wolf finds this week!

    @Avery It’s just the head and it would be cute-r but it’s still cute! 🙂

    @Dardy Karchut I know! Right? I should be reading your book soon btw!

    @jeanette8042 The paperback version of Wolfsbane is also nice.

    @Stetta (Ex Libris) LOL Nice, wet dog!

    @BLHmistress I’m not too sure about that one either…

    @Vivien Aaww. 🙁

    @Books Glorious Books I’ve been thinking about buying it since I saw it. LOL

    @Kat Shadow of the Sun is good so far. Another book with a deceiving cover!

    @donnas Agreed. The original cover was nicer but this one’s still cool.

    @Abby Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  5. Eu d’werewolf? Really? I mean… seriously? O_o;;;

    New Nightshade cover is crap. Well, okay, crap is too strong of a term, but still, the old cover was awesomeness, and this new one looks bland. It’s like they had to add the wolf’s head and yellow eyes so people would know it’s a werewolf book just by looking at it…
