This week I’m crazy about…

I’m liking this version of the cover more so than the original hardcover edition. I like that they kept the same overall colors and theme but it’s even better now with the addition of the girl. This whole series is Mac’s story after all. I think it’s only fair that she be included on the cover! This stock image has made a lot of appearances but even so, I still like it!

Scheduled to be released in August 2011.

“Evil is a completely different creature, Mac. Evil is bad that believes it’s good.”

MacKayla Lane was just a child when she and her sister, Alina, were given up for adoption and banished from Ireland forever.

Twenty years later, Alina is dead and Mac has returned to the country that expelled them to hunt her sister’s murderer. But after discovering that she descends from a bloodline both gifted and cursed, Mac is plunged into a secret history: an ancient conflict between humans and immortals who have lived concealed among us for thousands of years.

What follows is a shocking chain of events with devastating consequences, and now Mac struggles to cope with grief while continuing her mission to acquire and control the Sinsar Dubh—a book of dark, forbidden magic scribed by the mythical Unseelie King, containing the power to create and destroy worlds.

In an epic battle between humans and Fae, the hunter becomes the hunted when the Sinsar Dubh turns on Mac and begins mowing a deadly path through those she loves.
Who can she turn to? Who can she trust? Who is the woman haunting her dreams? More important, who is Mac herself and what is the destiny she glimpses in the black and crimson designs of an ancient tarot card?

From the luxury of the Lord Master’s penthouse to the sordid depths of an Unseelie nightclub, from the erotic bed of her lover to the terrifying bed of the Unseelie King, Mac’s journey will force her to face the truth of her exile, and to make a choice that will either save the world . . . or destroy it.

  1. Yep! I have to say I like this cover better too. The addition of the girl really just adds to it, and as you said, it is Mac’s story, she deserves to be on the cover!

  2. I agree, this cover is gorgeous! I love the gold embellishments in the corners and the red just really works well with it. I’d want to read it based on the cover alone, without even reading the synopsis. But it does sound good too! Thanks for stopping by my blog and I’m following you now

I see this series everywhere, though I haven’t read any of them! This cover is gorgeous– I also like it better than the hardcover edition. 🙂

  4. I really liked the hardcover cover. Especially the way you saw though it and it all fit together. At the same time though I am really happy with the paperback cover and how they kept to the same overall image, theme and colors. What was done on the hardcover wouldnt have worked as well without the clear overlay. And this is a great alternative.
