Posted November 21, 2010 by Carmel in / 11 Comments

I’ve been book blogging for 2 months now so I figured that it was time to participate in my very first challenge. How exciting! The goal is to read at least 12 Young Adult or Middle Grade novels from authors that are making their debut in these genres in 2011.

This challenge is hosted by The Story Siren.

Here’s my preliminary list:

  1. Angelfire by Courtney Allison Moulton
  2. The Iron Witch by Karen Mahoney
  3. The Demon Trapper’s Daughter by Jana Oliver
  4. Wake Unto Me by Lisa Cach
  5. Blood Magic by Tessa Gratton
  6. Jane Jones: Worst. Vampire. Ever. by Caissie St. Onge
  7. Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake
  8. Witch Eyes by Scott Tracey
  9. The Faerie Ring by Kiki Hamilton
  10. A Beautiful Dark by Jocelyn Davies
  11. Queen of Glass by Sarah J. Maas
  12. Hemlock by Kathleen Peacock

  1. Hiya!
I think it’s a good list — sounds like it has a lot of fun reads, and I wish you the best of luck with it! I especially liked the title for Jones’ “Worst. Vampire. Ever.” 😉

    Cheers,
    Darkeva

  2. i’d love to participate in the challenge but right now things are crazy at work and at home and even time for reading is an issue at home!

btw, thanks for visiting my blog. nice design – reminds me to continue reading Anita Blake – some werewolf issues going on in book 8.

    have a great day!

  3. It was so hard to pick just 12 but I didn’t want to be too ambitious. I’m sure I’ll add more as 2011 progresses.
