Another great book by this Canadian author. The story wasn’t as riveting as some of her earlier novels but still a great read. It didn’t have as much supernatural content as I’ve come to expect from this series. Out of all the characters, the half-demon Hope is one of my least favorites. Her powers can be a little confusing and I sometimes can’t help but wonder who’s side she’s on. Karl on the other hand, the lone werewolf, is a great character. However, I am a huge fan of anything werewolf related so my opinion may be a little biased on the subject! This novel further developed the romantic relationship between these two characters. It was a nice look into the inner-workings of their unusual love. This book still contained the usual action, love, good vs evil battle that is typical of the Underworld series. Kelley Armstrong is a great contributor to this type of literature and I will look for her next installment in stores.
